Insane Beastmen/Kindred Seal Counts Anyone?

This personally has been on my mind for the last hour or so due to a recent screenshot that Josiahfk posted a while ago. Throughout my 5-6 year running in XI, I've accumulated quite a good number of both seals, and before they allowed Shami to store them, I used to have several stacks sitting in my storage. Unfortunately I don't have a screenshot to share due to my old hard-drives dying on me a few weeks ago, but eh, once the servers go back up, I'll throw one up.

But to the point - while on Valefor, then Hades now Cerberus, I've yet to meet anyone whose come close to my count. However, Fushi claimed to have in the 10k mark, which I find hard to believe. 2000 or more would probably sound more believable. But as of the beginning of March my count is as follows:

Beastmen Seals: 1460-1465
Kindred Seals: 1474

As Kindred Crests or High Kindred Crests are concerned, only amassed maybe a stack and a half of KC's and little over a half of High ones, but like those really matter.

tl;dr: I'm boasting I have a ***ton of seals, how many do YOU have?!

PS: If anyone asks me to do BCNM/KSNM runs, I won't be surprised, :P

I thought "I" was crazy for having over 600ish Kindred Seals in storage with a Themis Orb sitting in storage for a rainy day, but good lord, you dwarf entire linkshells with all the seals you've got tucked away.

BS about 3k, KS about 1k. & years playing and never really done many KS/BS NM

Oh and temis orb sitting in bag, both BS and KS are over that number just not sure how much over.

My friend and I duo Up in Arms and UO for about 10% of profit.

I know a few people on Cerberus that have ~1600 Beastmen seals that we do runs with, but wow that's a lot of Kindred Seals. I'd love to see anyone beat that number!

Only reason I have never used mine, is it has always been easy to make gil in ffxi. I started gardening very early on, as well there is huge money to be made in mercenary work, day before the servers shut down, had nothing much to do. So me and whm LS mates teamed up shouted some NM pop for drops sales, made 6 mil total/3mil each. and took only a few hours, and we had fun doing it^^

Yeah, running to palborough or Horlais Peak over and over is a real pain. You could make more gil quickly just farming heed rings or something in abyssea these days.

Guess that makes you the first to best me vs Beastmen Seals, granted, I have spent close to maybe a 100 or more on doing FoV NMs, that and my early days doing Under Observation among other BCNMs prior to that.

Truth is, I have the jobs to do pretty much any of the more popular ones, but as much as I update my count in the linkshells I'm in, never seems to be the right time for anyone really wanting to do any to actually drop it all and go do some.

In the long run, I blame the fact I've always been a solo nut, even before I knew what Dragoon was capable of /mage jobs. That and maybe the small circle of people I hang with.

I must've spent 400 seals on Treasures and Tribulations because it was "soloable." Gogo chainspell warp XD Looking back now it was such a waste!

Make that 2+, haha. But yeah, I've soloed a good number of jobs to 75 once FoV came around, so I only used to be under 600 a piece vs seals. But now, its constantly recapping buffer and/or merit points/skilling up.

Most I've ever had at one time was like 400 something KS, BS never got above 200.. Me and a friend duo'd all our seals, and on occasion trio'd with someone else.. We even managed to duo ODS as BLM and RDM back before level cap was raised above 75, without really any merits, and using borderline gimp gear.. We just got lucky though.. We failed quite a few times on it.

YEah, my buddy and I used to duo ODS with same setup; RDM and BLM; we stopped after they nerfed sleep though, because sleepga was wearing before recast XD

That's what kept happening to us.. We just got lucky to not die one of the times, and got the ring for our trouble. We'd 2hr after the first Sleepga. Was basically a race against time.. We damn near had it a few times, but sleep would always end up resisting on like the last round of nuking.

Too many KSNM and BCNMs to even compete... screw you Up-In-Arms!

Here's my problem though - even if at some point I do spend maybe 20 to 40 seals on doing something, the next week or so, I just farm them right back. Haven't spent many in the past few months though, so they just keep coming to me. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever burn them all, xD.

last time i check was 1350 beastman seals, but i do BCNMs everytime i get the chance. they just never go away.
kindred seals i've never had many. i think i have like 300. and i have never done a KSNM.
find it odd that i have accumulated such a huge amount more of Beastseals than KSs. oh well. i'll never use them all anyway.

I stopped at 1200 each.

I have about 1800 BS, no idea how many KS.
I've never done a BCNM/KSNM in 3 years of playing.

I'm still working on an actual solo win. Got pretty close a few times. Well running out of mp at like 20-30%. Though that was before the stoneskin update so who knows now. But it's hard given how much it resist magic dmg. Was going to start dual boxing with a drg/mage to heal me cheap... but can't now.

Used to have like 1500 but once I found out how easy it is to solo up in arms I went to like <60 a week later lol. Not a single kclub dropped. Of course was like 60-70k just from the win... but not really worth it nowadays given the time and effort required and how little gil is worth nowadays. So I'm back up to like 500.

KS is like 500... but back in the day I used to be in a blm KSNM merc ls. So we burned our own during it too for more monies

wow i only have 57 BS and 150 KS. I use mine as I get them Ive even kept count of the BS runs... 1 Wings of Fury 38 worms turn pre R/E patch 57 under observation after that and 66 up in arms for a total of 7,780 used seals. Kept count cause of how bad my luck is never got a Ni or a PCC of either of the BC's so i just do Kclub now whenever i get seals figure when i do get lucky rather it be kclub /sigh

Well, there's some heavy ownage right there. Pretty sure I'd be close to that myself had I not done any or used any for FoV.

Here's a little confirmation as I said before, apparently I was way off on Beastmen seals, but off by 11 or so, :P

Figured I'd go and give somewhat of an update after about a year of off and on soloing through trials/merits/whatnot. Crest count is nearing 1k as well. Judging by my last count, farmed about another 500+ more. And people actually complain about having no seals?

Dam Kat, you should use those beastmean seals all on the kraken club bcnm. 34~ tries for a Kraken Club is very good odds. Also same with those kindred, you could make like 23M just from NQ pops and way more from HQ.

Yeah, I should be one of the several walking millionares off just BC spoils. Only deal is, I don't have a real big circle of friends who are willing to burn through them on a regular basis, only had maybe one or two people actually offer but never followed through.

Alternatively I was thinking of trying to solo E-vase-ive Action with my summoner, maybe get a few Raise 3 scrolls to peddle. Linkshell mates know what I have as well, but no one wants to bite, :P

E-vase-iv Action is totally easy! I actually blew through all of my seals trying to get Raise 3 for my whm. I eventually got it, but had to convert down some HKCs to do it.

I just recently went back and on the 5th run got another that I sold :)


I think this applies more to people who have not played the game for long. I know that I personally used up all of my BSs farming phalanx and Ni. But at the same time, without even trying, I have 250 BSs saved again. If I were to actually farm for BS & KS, I'm sure I could have way more.

Haha, unlikely I'll ever go back, or anywhere else, hell, I expected someone to try and sway me to jump servers, :P Local friend of mine who got me in the game pretty much is what is keeping me on Cerberus, he and I are pretty much a solid trio with him and his gf, even though she has taken yet another break from it.

Will say this - anyone who can find the patience to solo FoV/GoV to 75 and beyond, you'll find that seals really aren't hard to come by. As my friend told me - I have the patience of a corpse.

Actually, I've had a few seasoned players have this issue. Though, they're usually eager to spend them doing BCs as soon as they get them. More or less, not everybody solos as much as I do, or did for that matter. When I first started out, I dared to solo to 20 on thf, way back when the exp minimal was 15 exp for the lowest tier easy prey. I made it to 19 before finally partying it up.

That could be alot of Honey wines and sweet teas for BB items for monk too, don't forget!
