Anyone can buy valkyrie or armada.
Eh... In theory yes, but Cursed Breastplate -1 in particular still commands a very high price due to costly mats and high skill requirements. It's only T1 as of the last update, and only if you've got your skills up a decent bit - and as I understand it, skilling up from 100 is rather costly and slow.

Also, tatters and random synergy ***. Phantasmal tatters are rare/expensive, earthen tatters less so but you're going for two augments instead of one so the number of average attempts to get your desired result is much higher.

Kind of unreasonable to say, as a general statement, that getting Phorcy's only takes 30 mins. Most people will *not* get it in 30 mins, not to mention possibly days to weeks depending on how often they do it.
And the same can be said about abj. from odin. You could buy fafnir/nidhogg pops all day, sure, but that's not going to be cheap. But if he can get a salade, I don't see why he can't get the body.

pretty much this.

Sure, I haven't done neo-nyzul much, but if I did, I wouldn't have the perfect set up unfortunately and I know I wouldn't get it in 30 mins.

I'm the exact opposite. NQ and Korazin, represent.

I'm pretty sure C. Breastplate -1 was T1 at 100 cap, with Mega-Mog. and Smithing Torque, or at least that seemed to be the consensus. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't though, currently I am 0/64.

Smithing skill on it caps above 100, so there's no way. 103 iirc but don't hold me to that.

BG says less-than-or-equal-to 104, so you'd need 114 to be t1.

It's capping over 104 now, not sure if that was updated any further in that thread, but people were also definitely T1'ing it prior to cap increase. I'd guess that they floored synths to 100 for purposes of HQ'ing.

My DRK wasn't 99 at the time I got the abjuration, think it was in the mid-80s. The "cheating" part was me buying the -1 for 5 mil two weeks ago; they still go for ~15 over here.

When I wanted an A body for my brd mule, I bought Nidhogg pops, and shouted to sell the other drops to people. I basically charged them as much as I bought the pop item for. So like if I got the pop for 4m, I would charge people 4m for e body, 4m for n legs, 4m for m body. Then if a body dropped I would eat the cost of the pop item. Beards were 2m if it dropped. All together I only lost 2m using 3 pops to get my mules a abjuration body, buying them for 4-6m each. This would be a fairly fast, easy and cost effective way to get an e body if you wanted one. Not that Einherjar is at all difficult anymore. With 5 people, 1 of which being a decent WHM, and one being a decent NIN, you can farm a new Odin set every 3 runs and kill Odin on the 4th, provided 3 of those people have a mule to use to hold feathers. Overall the drops from the chambers should cover the cost of the lamps as well. I don't honestly find either of these drops to be difficult to acquire at all anymore, provided you don't get completely screwed over by the RNG.

EDIT::::
For all you bullwhippers out there (This is what I'm calling you now) Do you all believe in having MP merits and using Oneiros ring as well? Just curious.

I myself have been hit below 80(@75), 120(@90) and 150(@99) and saved from HP merits more than I could possibly count, and as they say a dead DD isn't a DD at all.

That being said, the best defense is and always will be a good offense. If you can count on your WHM or SCH to keep you from being in the danger zone, then there's no reason not to wear a Bullwhip Belt and use MP merits for Oneiros Ring.

Personally I use the Fazheluo set for almost everything so Bullwhip doesn't effect me, but I only really use WAR in Nyzul anymore, and you don't need a shred of accuracy in there bar very specific NMs.

I've decided to use Phasmida/Blitz combo for now. My gil is currently spent in better spots, like making my Ukon 99 and perhaps a Bravura. If I feel the attack on Mars' ring would make a pivotal difference, maybe I'd reconsider, but I doubt it.

I'm not sure gil is ever well spent on Bravura

Edit: If anything will make a pivotal difference on Mars' ring it would be the accuracy.

Though if your main goal is to 99 your Ukon, you're probably on plates. If that's true, then you can cap Accuracy on Qilin in your sleep. My set I use on Qilin only has 13 Accuracy on it, and I use RCB on Qilin. I'm pretty certain the Fazheluo Set is optimal on this guy, as the main reason Armada/Valkyrie+7% haste belt sets are so great is the accuracy factor they have over Fazheluo.

When you get to Rex/Ig on the other hand, you will need some accuracy heavy sets. With around 60 Accuracy in gear and NQ Pizza, I believe I was barely scratching 92% hit rate. People using RCB were going for 75-80% hit rates.

Leon you always like to take a dig at bravura yet im pretty sure a 99 Bravura will beat your precious 90 ukon so i hope you have the funds to 99 it with all the anti bravura crap you spout around.

I guess I shouldn't have derailed the thread.

Bravura 99 = 202,700,000
Ukonvasara 99 = 180,000,000

Spend 22,700,000g less, make better weapon.

Edit: According to Asura prices

From the look of this your putting into account that your going to buy the easily obtainable marrows?
(Im not debating which is better at 99 because I don't play WAR nor do I have any math)
But I know a lot of people who have upgraded both and empy cost most lol (On Quetz at the moment)

Ya marrows easy, plates people are F-in stingy with. They think 120+ is reasonable. Can be lucky if you find 10 plates a day at 110 and below on siren.
