What would be the second best sets without the use of Neo Nyzul gear? The Grim+1/Heca Mitts+1? Also Mekira is still only the best with Zerk Down/Correct day, yes? Also TP would still be either AF3+2/Armada with STP if you don't have Valkyrie's?

Valk with 3% TA is .2% better than Grim +1. Hecatomb +1 with crit dmg +4% is generally the best in all cases when acc is capped.

Mekira +1 is always better when fTP boost is active. The only times Ravagers's pulls ahead is when aggressor(not berserk) is down and you need the acc on higher end content or if the monster is very weak and merkira's attack/str are devalued. If you're sure your acc is capped, mekira +1 is always better on higher end content, albeit, not by a lot(as close as .03% in some cases) when berserk/aggressor is down.

Thanks again Ejiin.

Even lowering a monster to 80 AGI, the standard set still has a substantial lead against yours.

That's why I didn't bother to repost them, I'm still working out something that will pull ahead, and since asking for help with it in this thread just incites people to rage for no reason, I'm forced to do it myself. But hey, when I get something viable I will let you.

You can reaugment as many times as you want, and upon completion of the Synergy you have the option of keeping the old augments or picking the new ones.

Just delete everything and post a link to Ejiin's Sets. That's pretty much all thats needed here.

Wow at this the last 10 pages of this thread, wtf. Anyways, I havent frequented the war forums in a bit since I have put the job on the backburner to favor building my amano and sam. But I recently (finally, again wtf) picked up the Houyi's Gorget and am wondering if its even relevant for a tp piece. I looked at Ejiin's tp sets and he isn't using it in any of them. Then I looked at Taint's sam sets and he isn't using it either. My war is still just using the af3+2 body+zelus, goading belt not phos. Other than that its the same gear as everyone else. So is Houyi's not even neccessary for anything?

Second question, Ogier's hands > af3+2 hands?

For Bravura yes, for Ukon no - unless you're using Upheaval, in which case your Ukon might be crying.

I meant for a TP piece, there may be a place for it for an Ukon upheaval set but like I said, lol.

For bravura, making a true 5hit (if it requires the ogiers hands) works better than fake 5hit/6hit/using AF3 even with restraint up.

My TP set is still a couple generations behind optimal but I was considering using these in my Restraint down set (faz set+seiryu currently) since, in addition to them replacing the STP lost from AF3+2 body, I could also use Mars's Ring instead of Tyrant's for another 8 accuracy, to reduce the accuracy hit of using the Faz set. So it ends up being 7str, 4dex, 8acc vs 3crit, if I'm not mistaken. Wouldn't the former perform well on T6 mobs in this gear context?

I can't spreadsheet it myself so I'm asking sincerely.

You're basically talking about making a set that's only marginally better for ***mobs upgraded for use against mobs you'd be entirely better off using Armada/Zelus or Armada/Phorcys on.

If only we could all magically obtain the perfect gear sets instantly without time and work... I'll interpret the above as a "yes" to my question.

What are you spending gil on you can't get that gear then? You want to know what's better then that's the answer. You want to wear what you want, then why ask?

You don't even cap accuracy with an optimal set without madrigals on T6, entertaining something that has less that that is just folly.

Straw men
Look, I asked a specific question about whether or not X was better than Y in a specific context with clear qualifiers, and you answered with a veiled "yes" followed by saying both X and Y are trash and that I should use Z. Now you're implying that I'm actively choosing to wear shitty gear which is both absurd and non-sequitur.

Not everyone has Z yet and I don't need to justify what I spend my gil on but if you must know, feel free to PM me. I obviously know what the optimal sets are because I read this thread, but one can't magically obtain perfect equipment with perfect augments overnight. At any point in the continuum of equipment perfection, one can only do their best with what they currently have and strive to improve.

Thanks for the answer, anyway, and sorry for the slight derail.

With 50 pages, I'm not really sure where to start. Do we have any general "this is acceptable" sets yet?

You know, like, one pinnacle of all things holy, one medium set, and one starter set?

Generally if you just check the last couple pages in a thread like this you can find the answers.

I'd rank them in this order, and work on acquiring the gear in this order as well.

Minimum acceptable:

Low-Mid-level:
Switch Ninurtas for speed belt though, since you need one of those to make Phos belt anyway~

High-Mid-level: This also functions as your +ACC set:

Best:

EDIT:::

These have potential for inclusion as well.
