One additional hit effectively adds 1 FTP to your WS. A TA proc thus adds 2 fTP and a QA proc thus adds 3. Multiply each of those by their chance to proc then account for exclusivity of multihit procs (QA > TA > DA) and you'll find that it adds just under 0.07 fTP on average given one chance to proc and just under 0.14 fTP given the full two chances to proc. Ele belt adds 25/256 fTP, or 0.09765625 http://fTP.

Mekira-oto +1 is situationally better than Ravager's Mask +2 (if the day is correct or you need the attack) and Grim Cuirass +1 is better than Armada unless you need the accuracy.

Don't feel like making a new thread, i'm partial to 5 hit sets for my jobs, and i'm wondering how the community feels as 5 hit ukon tp set vs 6 hit

is my current set + carbonara for 20.9 tp per hit

Losing the "enhance restraint" from Ravager's Mufflers +2 is a devastating blow to those 5hits.

Your 5hit:

41 STR, 26 DEX, 66 Att, 63 Acc, 8% DA.

Current 6hit:

49 STR, 25 DEX, 76 Atk, 48 Acc, 17% DA, 8% Crit. Rate, and the boost from Ravager's Mufflers +2(Extra 1%~ WSDMG per/hit).

Even when restraint is down, the same 6hit has a 6%~ advantage with 8 STR, 8% crit, 9% DA, 10 attack and being able to WS in augmented Heca mitts +1 and a second STR ring. It's even further behind when using a proper restraint down set for 6hit(assuming Acc is capped).
This may be relevant to your post. It's just a few pages back.

how about for zergs where the fight lasts only a minute or 2 vs long events, in zergs dot matters less than ws frequency IMO

6-hit pulls farther ahead since Restraint excels in shorter fights, being that it will always be in effect. I don't even really know what I'd fight that will out-last Restraint – consecutive fights of course, but not one fight.

pDIF boost from Mighty Strikes on WS probably have AF3+2 even further ahead.

You're at risk of overflow to begin with considering how low your delay is, among other factors, especially if you're making use of Embrava.

I know comparing to another job probably isn't wise, since in fact they *are* different, but even with restraint down, 6hit pulls ahead for war, yet on a sam you have relatively high DA, and Hasso-Zanshin(+ Ikishoten) making you overflow almost every single time.(at least in VW)

I'm not trying to say 6hit isn't better for war, but I just can't seem to wrap my mind around why if 5hit is better for another job that "seems" to have a higher chance to overflow.

It's easier to 5hit on SAM than it is WAR?
You're still giving up better things for STP are you not?

Not to the same degree, no. SAM also gets more out of overflow TP (barring Kaiten) than WAR does.

Also, even mentioning VW in such a comparison of x-hits is pretty irrelevant. Completely different environment, unless I've missed a shift away from Save TP atmacite ahead of the nerf but even then alternative atmacites still have an impact.

Anguinus -> Windbuffet
Avant -> Heca/Ogier
Mufflers +2 -> Heca Hands +1
Vulcan's -> Moonshade
Rancor -> Thunder Gorgot
Atheling -> Rancorous

There are sets a few pages back that you can just look at and work from there.
Anguinus > Windbuffet> elemental belt?? Glad I have not tossed any of them!!

Thunder Belt -> Berserk Down/Fell Cleave
Windbuffet -> Berserk Up

(VW)
Aggressor*? Still not a great rule of thumb to go by but Berserk makes no sense.
