Your avatar fits perfectly with my expression when I read about the WAR nerf.
They're lowering the Critical Hit Rate bonus from TP. (not removing)
They are however removing the Critical Damage Bonus from Blood Rage.

Was more along the lines thinking of Savagery. Since all blood Rage is going to be is an enhanced warcry if you have savagery merits.
Wiki says Blood rage adds 20% to crit rate, Not sure what a TP bonus of 40 would add. (5 WC/4Savagery/1Tomahawk Here)

Remember critical hit rate will have deminishing returns, so while ukkos will lose 15% rit rate, the best gear set may not change significantly. IE: Valkarie's w/ 3% ta or Armada with 3% da will still outperform hachi. If I remember correctly Vulcans(or nq) beat ravager's/light earrings.

Since when does Critical Hit Rate have diminishing returns? And after what value?
Parsers show exact expected critical hit rate through gear/merits/ddex?
If it didn't, it would show that while having 25% Critical Hit Rate you truly only have 20%...

As far as the Vulcan's vs. Light Earring, source on that too? Can't say I've ever seen that bit of information anywhere.

assume for simplicity a crit doubles your dmg, you hit for 1 normally.
going from 0 to 1% crit rate increases dmg from 100 to 101, 101/100=1.01 a 1% increase
going from 50% to 51% increases dmg from 150 to 151, 151/150=1.006666
so little under .7% increase
going from 99% to 100% increases dmg from 199 to 200, 200/199=1.005~~~
a .5% increase
decreasing returns.

Assuming 4 STR raises damage by 1.
49% Crit Rate = 49 * 151 damage = 7,399 damage.
50% Crit Rate = 50 * 150 damage = 7,500 damage.
Now that is accountable for tp phase granted.
But, same situation, would this in WS still hold true?
Wouldn't adding more Crit Rate increase the frequency at which you activate critical hits on more than one hit in a WS?
If so, then the example would still hold true that by adding that it would add more to the overall long term view of say a WS count of 100/100?

Its 100% accurate to say that adding crit rate increases the frequency that a ws will crit, however as your crit rate gets higher, the ammount 1% crit rate will increase your damage goes down. Thus other stats may inrcrease dmg more. I will do numbers for inside abyssea in a bit where crit may win due to crit dmg.

Askar +5 will rape everything all the time if the stats remain the same as they are. Seeing as how most of the gear is sidegrades and everything is getting a nerfbat, I don't hold much hope its staying like it is. Or if it does, it will be like getting ahold of an Ebody circa 2003.

Hello, i'm almost halfway on my ukon so i just started thinkin about some possible WS sets, but well, i'm not sure what i should build, STR or DA Crit ecc.
