15 DEX 25 Acc gives you less acc then 11 DEX 16 Acc?

Lakshmi.Odude said: Curious what the thoughts are on Twilight mail vs armada hauberk for Ukko's Fury.
Would the extra attack you get from Armada make up the lack of 4 STR? Obviously the Armada would have a lot more Accuracy, but I guess it's a comparison of the STR vs the Attack.
Haven't augmented it yet, but hoping for some DA to use it specifically for WS.
Augmented Armada will beat Twilight on both TP and WS. Where do you even see Twilight falling short on Acc, compared to Armada? Perhaps you meant Atk?

I would assume you only use twilight on very hard mobs where you need as much dex as possible. Something like voidwatch, your gaining 13att/3da at the loss of 11acc and 4dex. Since acc matters in woidwatch, from only listed acc(not counting dex from acc) you lose 5.5% hit rate, so 5.5% dmg. attack wont make up for this, so twilight wins.
The real question I would assume becomes how does it compare to zahak's on weaker mobs. 3% crit rate vs 1str/dex 16att/acc 3%. If you are close but not quite at dDex cap or are low attack armada will win. But under food/berserk, you will see zahaks win.
Inside abyssea: use zahaks or grim.
Edit: This is assuming you get augments that enable it to be used for tp. Armada replacing af3+2 is a better return than armada possibly replacing zahaks. Plus getting out of ugly af3+2 is amazing and you should want to do it out of kindness for any person that happens to look at you.

bellicus cuisses with wsdmg+2 only (no critical hit rate): worth using at all?
hard to decided atm tbh, thinking with blood rage up though at least
By Blazed1979 2011-06-19 04:05:02
I'm using w/e I have till 99 cap. So sick and tired of tweeking a set only to have it outdated 2 months later. it sometimes takes that long just to acquire it.
*** blows that I tossed my entire E.set + the spare abjurations I had lying around (except body)

well, bellicis cuisses are a matter of spamming npc prompts, and if you're lucky (critical hit rate +3 and weapon skill damage +2), you get the best weapon skill legs for warrior period as it stands currently, and tbh probably for a long time too

This is what I would ideally like for inside Abyssea. Let me know how it would stack up please.
Job Traits= Crit DMG+10%
Legs= Crit DMG+4%/StoreTP+5
Hands= Crit DMG+2%
Feet= Crit DMG+10%
Blood Rage= Crit DMG+20%(?)
Atma of the Razed Ruins= Crit DMG+30%(?)
Atma of the Sanguine Scythe= 30%(Not entirely sure, says major so is RR atma)
So almost full time would that be +86% Critical Hit damage? Is it confirmed 100% is cap? I wasn't entirely sure. if so with Blood rage up you can swap out Heca/Haidate without any problems. I'd like some input, I mean I'm sure auged heca/haidate would be great outside abyssea paired with Zahak's mail.

trait II is only 8% i thought, not 10%?
anyways, imo perfect bellicus cuisses still beat byakko's with +4% critical hit damage, but that aside, and perhaps vulcan's pearl over ravager's earring as well as +1 grim/mittens, perfect setup really

Think you need 3% on hands for them to beat Heafoc, other than that, what Ironguy said.

I may be wrong, but for certain high buff scenarios within Abyssea, meaning Stalwarts/RCB etc, I'd guess also an AGI+4 WS DMG+2% and DEX+4 Crit DMG+2% champion's galea could find its place in the mix.

What would be the worst augment you could get on an E.Body that would still out-do +2 body for tp?

I'd say enough stp to maintain your X-Hit build

Inside Aby would also need DA/crit augments I believe otherwise both pieces are almost the same in attack/accuracy (slight lead with Emp+2) given since fSTR is capped. That or my I'm tired and my math is off.

I don't think EBody gets crit augments. Either way, compared to AF3+2, all an EBody is missing is the Stp.
Inside Abyssea, even an Askar Body could pull ahead of AF3+2 simply because of the extra DA, as long as your stp requirements aren't busted by the swap.

at what point does the Bellicus Cuisses become better then Ravager's legs +2 Byakko / Hachiryu Haidate? I just received a pair with +2% WS dmg and +2 Crit hit rate 1/100ish :D

Isn't that close to max augments (mentioned in SS)? I'd use it over Other options imo.

First off grats on getting crit rate and WS% on the same piece. I've only seen it twice now in some 1k+ attempts. Fortunately I too received +2/+2 (though I continue to rue that it wasn't +3/+2).
As for your question about using them, mathematically, yes they are the best possible WS pants you can use for Ukko's, provided Mighty Strikes isn't up. With MS up, and provided you haven't reached 100% crit damage bonus cap (ie. Blood Rage down inside Abyssea - Never reach cap outside), Byakko's Haidate with 4% Crit Damage will beat them. Not entirely sure about the math on AF3+2 versus Byakko's (4%) in situations where attack isn't capped and crit damage bonus is capped. Perhaps the math heads could answer this conundrum?
Anyway, grats again. I'm still trading my trophies in hopes of a +3/+2.

Hello, i'm almost halfway on my ukon so i just started thinkin about some possible WS sets, but well, i'm not sure what i should build, STR or DA Crit ecc.
Any suggestion is appreciated ^-^
1st set mainly focused on str could be like this :
http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/205175
2nd set with some more DA Crit% and Crit dmg :
http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/205179
i'm also thinkin about Twilight helm and Ares's flanchard
