Sounds familiar, but really difficult to get an idea of it without phrasing.

This would also be a lot more awesome if it were in sheet music, timing is hard to figure out through spaces alone lol

I showed this virtual keyboard to my little brother who is about to turn 7 next week.
Granted he more or less goofed off on it, but it wasn't your typical key smashing as one would expect. It was reasonable, decent sounding movements of notes in proper succession and tempo.
I'm starting to consider getting him a keyboard for his birthday now rather than a DS, as he still loses his patience far too easily with games (when he dies) and when youtube videos he likes fail to load.

Might even motivate me to sort of teach myself some musical basics such as reading music and whatnot.

I'm having a blast with this actually, I usually lose patience with playing instruments and whatnot, but I guess its primarily my boredom driving me to do this

Unfortunately I'm musically HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE when it comes to the performing aspect. Would a pianist care to explain to me the significant difference between a legit 88-key piano and one scaled down into a 44-key keyboard?

I'm..not a pianist but my grandmother used to play on a 88 key piano, and I really think its just the more broad range they can play on it that makes it so much better

Thought it had something to do with there simply being a wider range of notes or chords in between that a 44 can never cover, but rather simplifies into a compact manner.

I do believe that a 44 key piano is also meant for beginners, or the youth who are getting into playing the piano, I mean honestly, if you were a 7 year old staring down an 88 key piano would you not be a little intimidated? lol

Ahahaha, very good point. It'd be difficult to reach that far, let alone know which keys to push in which order when you have as many as 88. I suppose a 44-key Casio would be the best route for both of us lol. $130 isn't too bad for a more modern one including a stand and an A/C wall unit.

Definitely a 44 key for just starting out, I'm really starting to wish I had taken my grandmother up on those piano lessons...I'm really enjoying myself :|
