"This" meaning your TP gear? Your casting gear should be drastically different - more akin to a WS set if anything.

My TP set.
My STR set.
Not similar at all, if you wanna compare them <_>
But I'm a BLU-noob, idk if I'm actually doing it 100% correct?:P

There's some obvious improvements to be made. And of course no spell you'd use has only a str mod and some have none so some peices might be better otherwise. Also kinda overdoing it on acc in your tp set probably

is my current TP gear and I know it needs work. I have 2/10 9/9 for my BLU +2 body and Legs +2 will come when I spam Sobek to finish Almace.
Our physical casting set is pretty much identical except you have teh +2 legs.

Yeah well, that's just a general STR set I have as a base, swapping out a few pieces for different spells depending on mods <_>
And HQs are obvious ofc, anything else I'm forgetting? >_<

And of course several spells that most of those peices should be taken out since the str wont do anything really. But yeah some HQs. Str or vit ammo depending on the break offs.

Sorry, was referring to the TPing sets (outside of the lolmagaccswords). Like I said, my blu never made it past 45 so haste etc. wasn't really an option and I pretty much TP'd in acc/str gear and dex where I couldn't fit str/acc for more acc.
Basically though, what you're saying is I should be in str gear when casting and swap back to a TP set after (assuming physical spells)? Sorry for noobin it up but again, just wanna make sure I understand it.

OK, so.
I'm bored at the airport and blabla, and I was wondering..
Is there a better tp set I should aim for than what I currently have?
Like, aim for dusk+1 and tiercel, so I can cap haste without haste pants? Would refresh subligar(Outside aby) or Tumbler trunks be worth using instead?
Posted it earlier in this thread, only change is Eponas ring now.
I know the necklace is kinda lulzy and not really needed, but I cba to solo Fort atm, so I'll concider that after awhile.

this is what i use to tp in i used to use the pink hands and feet but i npced them by mistake and never bought another pair and when i use a skill chain i change the body to AF. also the sword is aug. with dmg +1 and the antea is the lesser dmg multi attack working towards the one that attacks 2-4.

Get haste hands and feet, preferably dusk gloves, or ocelot.
Get brutal earring instead of Mavi.
Better STR ring (I should'nt complain, using flame -_-)
Or can just TP in Keen ring for 7 atk.

Dusk gloves, lose neck and get orochi nodowa if fort isn't option.

I'll clean up my gear a bit and see what I can manage to fit in, too much gear for this job ;;
Been wanting to use Dusk, and I do carry around Orochi anyways for idle.. kinda forgot that thing have attack on it >_>
But I guess there's not really any other "type" of setups that's worth it then? Using zelus and non-haste pants etc?
Posting from my phone so hard to compare all-over stats atm >_<

Zelus Tiara + Loki's Kaftan is a bit ahead of your current set if you don't need the refresh and acc from AF3+2 head/body, especially if you can hit 26% via Dusk +1. Alternatively, you can use Zelus to equip one piece of Serpentes for additional refresh.

@Kvazz: our TP sets are strikingly similar.
Almah Torque instead of PCC if Accuracy is capped (which it hasn't been lately on Apademak with Almah...). I prefer Ocelot Gloves to Dusk Gloves because -movement sucks, Subtle Blow from dAGI is nice and I like tanking.
EDIT: Also not giving up Refreshbody since I never equip Refresh atma or anything.

Here's mine no longer use dgloves+1 I cld either use ocelot or homam, homam look nicer but ocelot have some nice spell mods and carrying both would be silly like im currently doing cos im indecisive.

Current TP set. Reason I'm not dual-wielding is that I have a preference to /RDM for my nuke setups (natural MAB for nukes to save a set trait, Fast Cast), otherwise my offhand is usually a Firmament with DMG+9 on it and Ethereal is replaced with Suppanomimi. Working on +2 body/legs (legs are me refusing to do Sobek 'til I've finished my Briareus Helms for Kannagi...) in order to get capped Haste.
Currently working on Epona's Ring for other ring slot as opposed to Heed, as well as Isador for main weapon (Isgebind hates me). Unsure about getting a Shamshir+2, but will probably do so for the STR path. I just get to play BLU so little lately that I haven't bothered. =(
I feel so behind on my BLU... xD

Why are people using ocelott gloves over dusk? Please don't say its because of the move down :/.

Abyssea imo involves more moving from mob to mob than colibri merit parties used to. Esp solo ofcourse id tp in homam or ocelot over dgloves save having to press a macro as soon as the fight has ended to remove the gravity effect whilst running 10 yards to your next mob. Overall a few attack isnt worth the decreased movement speed, and I do own gloves+1 but use for sam only now... which I dont really use at all. Saves inv space too if you already own ocelot and you use them for agi/dex based spells to carry nq dusk around too for some attack is bit silly, and im usually all for maxing dmg esp if its cheap.

If you miss a single attack round due to taking a little bit longer to move, or hit a mob without your Haste hands on, you've probably lost more DoT than you would gain from using Dusk over Ocelot.
By Shiva.Khimaira 2011-04-11 23:35:40
Most of this is fairly simple to get with time and dedication, depending on how much your LS does certain zones. Ziel is probably overkill as far as ACC goes, but I figured Fortitude Torque may not be in the cards for you, took me a long time to get mine. I aimed this mainly for stuff that's either buyable, or can be gotten in Abyssea, hence the lack of Homam, but you can decide where to make substitutions.
@Draylo, Dusk gloves have 5 attack. Sure, that's a nice boost when your accuracy is capped, but it's quite easy to forget to macro them in some times, and it's never fun (this is still a game iirc). Sometimes it's nice to just be able to engage the mob, hence why most people don't bother. It's a minimal boost, definately not worth trolling over, if someone opts out of it.

Krsone actually has 1% more haste than he needs for cap, so could use Ocelot instead of dusk +1 and not even need a macro.
I personally don't like the gravity on dusk, and i do swap them out on my sam, but if I have the option to swap for something with equal haste, then I will.

Think you've misunderstood what was said. He knows he doesn't need the haste, and has switched. What people are criticizing is the loss of 6 attack and whether or not that is worth the hassle.

i wanted to know if this was good and any suggestions im still looking for more gear so its not the finished product just what i use now
