FFIX needs to end already.
I love this ability system, using 4 characters and the story is okay, but holy crap, I HATE how Trance functions and how there are so many different status effects that do the same *** - kill you (or count as you dead.) I shouldn't fear random battles more than boss fights.

At about this point you start praying that it's not X mob that will use Y ability to destroy your hopes and dreams...

trance... how i hate trance. i should be able to hold my ultimate attack for a boss, not forced to unleash my most uber attacks on trash mobs!

exactly, but you're trance wears after battle. i just hate when a random encounter mob hits you into trance and you end up wasting it.

You probably didn't explore as much then. I walk outside of this new town next to a waterfall and I'm getting Tier 3 magic'd by a dragon for 4k+. Mind you, this is AoE as well. God forbid he targets one character.

I'm so done with this game, lol. No idea how anyone could say IX is their favorite. I don't mind a challenge, but this just isn't even all that fun. Don't get me started on how *** SLOW this ATB is. I shouldn't have to put on Auto-Haste JUST to feel like previous FF speed. At first I was like "Maybe since I have 4 characters, so I have more time to think."

Then I realized "This is FF |: Attack Attack Attack Cura AoE Attack Attack Blizzaga Attack Attack"

I still like it better than VIII to a degree. I just wanna move onto X already for my friend. Love me some X.

i like 9, but the last playthrough i was doing got stuck on the hill gigas that refuses to let you steal one of his items. i have to get everything!

is 12 really worth playing?

12 is pritty good but if you abuse the gambit system it get boaring... I always left the character I was controling with them turned off so I wasn't just watching the game play it self. Or if I felt like being hardcore I turned off everyones gambits XD

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that rages about the trance thing XD

The actions needed to be quicker too in that game... I'd find that I was just sitting there waiting for my characters to act after giving all 4 orders half the time and would basicly just turn into a turn based game >.>

I play Pokemon most of the time while playing IX because it's so damn slow paced.


Yep. After the first fight I had with it, I ran / Flee'd from all others.

This is true, but I used Gambits defensively, like healing and stuff. I usually controlled Ashe as the tank so I had to manually cast stuff. On later bosses and summons, even all gambits still cannot save you - you gotta do ***manually.

XII I'd say is actually my second favorite FF, X being the first. Maybe it'll change when I actually finish I-VI, hopefully this summer (at least a few more knocked out.)

Gambits are great for mindlessly leveling up. Can practically do it afk. I actually liked 12 quite a bit, going after elite marks in end-game was fun, I missed a few (don't think I've killed any top level NM in ANY FF game), but there was some dragon thing in the way back of some cave was epic. I fought it for over an hour, paused the game, went to work, and resumed the fight for another hour or so after that. I read a guide for the mega boss, it's like a 24 hour fight or some ***, you fight it for a bit, run away and come back and it doesn't regen all it's HP.

There actually is a mob that you can pop that spawns helpers and with the right gambits you can afk overnight for it to level you up to 99... Never tryed it myself though.

I'm in a dress shirt, slacks, and black dress shoes. I rarely deal with customers, so I guess I don't need to.

Point is, appearances do matter, and when you go visit a customer to try and sell them more product, you don't go looking like a slob.

Looking professional is great. The tie might be a bit constricting, but dressing up in a nice suit is like the equivalent of a woman dressing up in sexy lingerie or something. Just makes me feel sexy.
