The dog hasn't pooped in 2 days, so I'm all feeling super bad for him. I go to get some milk for him (supposed to help him poo) I step, barefooted, into a huge pile of dog barf. I slip and fall on my ***, and he runs up to me, licking my face, then throws up next to me.

I read up when my cat wouldn't poop and it reccomended puree pumpkin.They don't sell that canned here so I had to buy a pumpkin and spend hours cutting it all up n steaming n pureeing it.Dunno if it works for dogs too.
Well he didn't poop for 3 days last week. Ovr and I didn't know it'd been that long because he was working or sleeping while I was awake, so we didn't communicate that Obie hadn't pooed. We read up some home remedies and saw that milk or pumpkin is really good for it, so we gave him milk since we had it. It took less than 2 days before he started pooping like non-stop.
We thought he was okay, so we stopped giving him milk, and tomorrow will be 3 days since he pooped again. I started giving him milk yesterday, but it's not working yet. I figure he's got something stuck in his *** because nothing about his diet or environment has changed at all within the last like 8 months.

Who doesn't like talking about dog poo and butts?
I had a lab when I was little who ate dental floss that we left on the bathroom counter. My parents made me and my brother take turns pulling floss slowly out of the dog's butt, and we never left odds and ends out on the bathroom counter ever again. :)

I don't know what else it could be, but it doesn't make sense if he does either.
When he finally pooped a couple days ago, nothing else came out. Like he didn't eat a hair tie (he loves loves loves my hairties if he can find them) because I'm not missing any and one never came out in his poo. No hair or plastic or hair tie, nothing.
He still hasn't gotten a hair tie or eaten anything bad. He never ever gets in the trash, so I know he hasn't, but he's back to not pooping. If something was stuck in his butt, then he shouldn't have been able to start pooing the other day, yeah? I dun get it and it makes me feel terrible. Everyone knows how horrid it is to not be able to poop :\

my dog had a problem once she wouldnt poop and we didnt know until we took her to the vet since she was in a lot of pain and wouldnt walk. Vet told use to feed her Vaseline and oatmeal, she pooped alright lol If she didnt poop she would need surgery it was so bad

One of my dogs back home got towels stuck in her bowels once. Had some intense blockage. After we took her to the vet and got them all out and everything, it turned out that her intestines were infected, so I had to administer a syringe of yellow goopy medicine into her butt nightly. Most awkward thing I ever had to do, but she got better in a couple weeks. Was right as rain after that. After all that we had her sleep on cedar chips instead of towels. :)

Dog's don't usually chew food, they just gulp it down, mine always used to anyway. So they probably don't even taste it till it's too late.

Yeah lol slightly scared to feed it to him.
How long does it take to work? I don't want to give it to him now and wake up to walls sprayed with poop.

my dog actually has (had? she's dead now ;;) ingested quite a bit of chocolate, she was fine other then a bad case of the shits.
