Motorcycles are not very common here, but i do see some kawasaki ninjas and what not sliding between cars just like scooters. But always they are the smaller thinner types of motorcycles. Big harleys and others will have to act just like in the states, stay in your lane, maybe share it with another bike right beside you, and don't try to cut between cars. Seriously there is little to no room between some cars on these tiny streets. Suicide hill has a road about 8 feet across, its two way, and shares the room on the road on one side with telephone poles, and the other side is a cliff w/ guard rail......

The penal system here in japan is nuts. If you get in a Car accident and you are a foreigner, you are automatically at fault. Even if you are not the one who caused it, you are still assigned a part of the blame.

Say you are parked on the side of the street for some reason, just like the person in front and behind you, and someone losses control and side swipes you. You are still partially at fault for the accident, just less so than the other person.

Also, if you cause an accident and the other party is injured, you are going to pay Gomen Nasai to the injured. In other words you are going to pay that persons hospital bills and you are going to pay them for the work days they miss. On top of that it is expected of you to visit them in the hospital and bring them gifts.

As a military service member i get a SOFA (Status Of Forces Agreement) liscence but i still do not drive out in town because of the conditions on the road.

I picked hume, thinking if I should switch it up and choose elvaan or mithra. The character creator is really advanced so I'm sure I could make something cool looking.

Awesome first day of school... kind of....

I got really good news today from the VA rep at the school, that my college does in fact take SMART transcripts and uses them towards degrees. That basically means my Navy training translates into college courses and I get credits for them.

The bad thing about me finally bothering to find out about this now is that most of those credits are lower level classes which won't really help me now. Project Management is on the list though so hopefully they take those and I can drop that class this semester.

The thing that boggles my noggin is that my adviser told me today that he is prior military, Air Force enlisted 10 years and then Navy officer for 15. I would think that my fellow veteran adviser would have brought up the SMART transcripts at some point since my school uses it. It was never brought up though, and I never saw anything during any financial aid or application paperwork, so I never thought to push the issue until I was recently looking into VA benefits.

TL;DR - If you are military or former military going to school, don't be a dumbass like me, remember your SMART transcript and take fewer *** classes as a result.
