I'll be writing up a start up guide w/o spoilers for new players so they know what they're getting into before they buy.

I'd recommend torrenting the game if you can play it on your PC to try it out as a demo basically before you put your money into it. It's a game that you'll either love to death or hate to death, I really don't think there is any middle ground in it.
I got a torrent for Prepare to die edition from Narshecat I think... but it's been at like, 0% for a week and a half or so. XD but something about online being better or whatever? :s idk >_> /goes back go throwing axes at people
You won't be playing online for awhile, it just won't be possible for you to learn anything from people twinking you and there won't be any enjoyment.

They will destroy you and make your time miserable, so play offline until you're ready for PvP which honestly isn't going to be until you beat the game once probably <3

I'm sure there is a better torrent available for you.
I personally don't suggest playing off line all the time on your first plaything... While invasions can be annoying I find alot of the fun for a first play through comes from seeing the notes and blood stains left by other players and using them to help you work though the world (or learn when note is a lie). That's just me though.

Yep, I just hated the hunt with the 5 mandragoras you had to run across the whole map for x.x

I think Fafnir was my favourite of all the big ones though~

Oh I know I can just a pain in the *** to do so, since it requires me to have to put it in a certain place (also it's from a different... ripper? I dunno lol...) so compatibility is another thing i'm curious about (it's the same 'game' but from a different source)

or if one uses 7zip, you can usually extract the files from a .iso to a folder anyway, and can skip the mounting process, but to each their own, I like keeping .iso files myself, as they're easier to manage.

I don't torrent anything. XI/XIV/LoL are the only games (Outside of Dota2 and other steam-related games) I really play. So never had a need to torrent anything.

Edit: Only read me inside of it is calling someone a piece of ***with a picture of the Dark Souls' game box. lol
