My entire class sat and stared at my professor and I as we discussed how the Green Knight/Green Man from Celtic tradition can be seen in other forms in other cultures and that most important spiritual based characters must be archetypally ingrained in human DNA for them to appear in different cultures in ancient history. Feels like it's gonna be a good 8 weeks.

Til he started bashing The Britts and Nords because they enslaved his Irish ancestors.
Oh snap! It's a throwdown of Irish vs. Brits, son! Yeah, I love it when you can blurt stuff out in class and everyone else looks on like, "Holy crap, this guy must know his stuff..." For instance, in my Romantic Literature class, the prof was discussing all the different poets we'll be reading, and while she was on Keats I piped up and mentioned that he was the most optimistic of all the Romantics, which is odd considering that he knew he was doomed to die in a few short years and the rest of them were cranky, opium-fueled, whiny-pants, melancholy artists.

Feels John Goodman.
Lol it got worse when I asked if you could say this text was the British equivalence of Ovid's Metamorphoses. Which makes sense Metamorphoses was the text that helped the Romans assimilate Greek culture, much the same that Sir Gawain and he Green Knight shows the suppression and assimilation of the Celts into the christian British empire. Was a fun discussion.
I will add errrrbody. I just don't want to get killed by people invading me, until I figure out how to actually play lol. Friggin thing is taking FOR-EV-ER to update lol

I can only imagine that you're right in that. Sounds like you're gonna have one hell of a class with this dude. Y'know, if you can keep things civil. Remember, British Imperialism hasn't been around in at least 200 years.

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
