A lot of areas it is quite obvious your FPS drops horribly, especially in blighttown. Another spot I notice it is if you are on the steps overlooking firelink shrine's bonfire. There are others but these are the two that come to mind off the top of my head.

When I refuse to sign into my Live Game account it says my data will not be saved. So does that mean that any progress in offline mode it useless?

It shouldn't, the cracked version said something about an offline profile. I'm sure this is totally helpful to you though. lol

Yeah, they gotta fix all the good exploits and balance some stuff. Seems patch 1.03, 1.05, and 1.06 did the most.

I'm debating uninstalling the game data and playing the fully unpatched version till I get tired of it.

Yeah they are annoying when trying to reach <X> and HerpaDerpa ivades but you can force offline mode and avoid them :D
