You hit it right on the head, Ina. That's exactly what I'm doing. She knows how I feel about the old bat, but she also knows I'll be there for her. That's all I can really do. And unfortunately, due to the fact that she lives way over in Wisconsin and I can't exactly afford an emergency flight, I mean be there emotionally, not physically.

It is, I considered it to be the most difficult area for me on my first playthrough. In the end though it's basically just a puzzle... that can push you off the edge and make you fall to your death into a pit of demons that smash your corpse D:

Zelda for example, the puzzles in Ocarina of Time were genius, cunning, clever yet simple and always made me feel silly when I discovered the solution which would always seem obvious once found ._.
