Most disappointing book ever. >.> The entire last half of it was lovey-dovey mush story about how these two main characters completely changed their personalities to please the other because they were so gosh-darned in love, and the sections that were in the point of view of the murderer got fewer and fewer and smaller and smaller. He always gathered up a list of victims and told the reader about them, but then he always said which one he was going to kidnap so the victim was never a surprise, and then at the climax when he re-abducted the main character, the author completely skimmed over what happened and what he did to her in order to focus on the frantic rantings of her boyfriend (well I'm pretty sure we can figure out that the boyfriend is frantic all by ourselves, could you please say what the murderer is doing to the girl!)
AND THEN after spending the entire book making a huge fuss out of how independent the girl was and how she prided herself on being strong, when the murderer threw her in a well with two hours worth of oxygen in a scuba tank with her feet tied to a weight and told her that if her boyfriend didn't find her in two hours she was dead, she just was like "Ok!" and sat there. Um what? Your hands aren't even tied lady, at least TRY to unbind your feet and swim to the top?
Bah humbug. I'm reading "Game of Thrones" by George R. R. Martin next because I've heard so much about it. It better be better than the last one. >.>
