So I made my own spaghetti sauce yesterday, let it cook on the stove all day long on low.
I'm never buying it in a jar ever again. One of the easiest things I've done that tasted the best.
Did you make it entirely from scratch, or did you use prepared ingredients like tomato paste or crushed canned tomatoes?
I used one of those large cans of canned tomatoes, I usually grow them in the summer so I'll make sure I make it with fresh then. Yea, 2 lil cans of tomato paste, 1.5-2 pounds of beef, 1.5 pounds of fresh sausage, and a few seasonings.
The taste is wonderfully fresh, I can't wait to try it when I start growing them again. I'm serious though, I'm never buying it in a jar again, none of them even came close.
