Ok so theres this chick who is an old high school friend (31) and has a 54 yr old bf that is in jail for the next 2.5 yrs and sleeps with his nephew. My guy is with me and she is super jealous.
So she has tried to flirt and step her game like she has any to try and get my guy. he turns her down DUH and she gets all bent on fb saying "Just when i thought i found someone who truly respected me and didnt judge me they turn on me. This is why i have trust issues. What doesnt kill me makes me stronger right!?"
I was never a trekkie because my parents never watched them. We had all the Star Wars movies though, and I loved those ones! But my husband loves Star Trek, so I want to watch them all so I can be on par with him about it. I have not managed to watch very many of them yet. :-( I don't know if he likes the new ones much, he says they have not much to do with the story of the original ones, besides the names of the characters. (Kirk's dad didn't die that way or something something.)
Poor guy, it's like the Doom movie. He's played Doom, it's not the same, he can't love it. I have not played Doom (I can't, it makes me seasick, I did read the books though) so since I was never attached to the original story I can like the movie. Same with Resident Evil. ;;
Anyways, whatever, the point is, I really want to watch every Star Trek thing ever imagined because my husband loves them and if it means much to him, I want it to mean much to me.

All because he turned her down...lol
i been here laughing at this in the background.
feels like high school again
Bah, there's nothing quite so irritating as a woman trying to take another woman's man. And cheating on her own while she's at it! If she's unhappy in her situation, she should break it off with her jailed boyfriend and find a single guy that enjoys her company.
Yea she won't listen. My guy told her the same thing and she thinks he needs her. her bf cheated on her multiple times telling her he didnt want her and she still staying. she's just plain stupid and then tries to get on my guy. *** be crazy
I'm noticing a lot less lenseflare than in the previous movie. Good start. :x
Find it quite interesting how they've tried their best not to show the Enterprise; makes me wonder how much feedback they took into account about the redesign.
Now to wait until May... :I
didn't read anything but saw the words "star trek" so I'm replying.
I grew up in a trekkie household. My mother used to be in fanclubs and she almost accidentally neglected us because she was busy playing in a startrek roleplay where she was the captain of a starship in the early internet days. Also used to pick us up from school and listen to cassette tapes of "how to speak klingon" with the windows down and the speakers blaring and also unlike normal kids who build forts with sheets and chairs we used our massive amounts of TNG VHS tapes.
I grew to dislike startrek out of bitterness because the tv was always hogged by mother watching ST reruns on tv when all I wanted to do was come home from school and watch stick stickely on nickelodeon.
oh those were the days. However lets go back to my brief sudden stint of instant trekkie a couple years ago when I had the urge to marathon all of Enterprise and Voyager....loooooove.
yea i was basicly raised on star trek, reruns of the original show and TNG>DS9>V>E, not to mention the first movie i ever saw in a theater was the fith movie as a kid. so unless the compleatly throw the sieries into a meat grinder and get some twilight ***or something, ill allways be a fan.
My parents weren't really into Star Trek at first. Dad used to watch reruns of the original series on Sundays while cooking lunch, but that was about it. But then I saw a couple of episodes of TNG after school and I was like "this ***'s crazy; I love it", and we all ended up watching it together from DS9 onwards. :I
Hate how Enterprise got cancelled (that last episode was such a *** move), especially just as they were getting to the start of the Romulan Wars, but the reboot is cool too.
i have a good friend who plays in star trek series (low budget ones), does the jeopardy, and always interviewing stars. he was the one who inspired me to watch TNG when i was in high school. but didnt get into it after TNG finished :( had the enterprise statue too.

took too long for Enterprise to get decent (and even its dencently good stuff was kind of ridiculously hilarious and I fell in love it anyway) and then people forgot about it. Yeah the ending was total BS and I didn't even watch it..I read what happened to Trip and mentally tableflipped and I was pissed.
That movie actually wasn't bad. I loved all the subtle hints at comedy, but for once it didn't dominate the film. It had me laughing without detracting from the storyline.
Also, is it just me or are these new movies kind of missing the point of Star Trek? Maybe it's just me, but the big thing about Star Trek was the deep roots in civil rights discussion and understanding the human condition. That feels... lacking, at least in the last movie. They seemed more to emphasize the approach to the characters of TOS. Again, I'm not the most reliable source on this as I only watched the movie once when it first came out in theaters. Also, like many of you, I'm a Picard fan.
So, I just started watching American Horror Story tonight. Saw the first 4 episodes and I think I said "WTF!?" like 80x at the screen tonight lol. Really sick show. I normally don't go for horror stuff, but this show is just so awesome.

Never heard of it, but I pretty much did the same thing when I was watching Casa de mi Padre. It was more like, "WTF, are they seriously doing that?!"
I'm not into horror stuff, so I'll take your word on it. Although the show did have Connie Britton, and tbh I kinda had a crush on her when she was in Spin City.

edit: this post I just made is not even a well thought out train of thought.
no the last movie was awesome except for the destruction of vulcan/romulus but I liked the movie so much that I don't really care and it was good enough that I'll accept the Alternate Universe because it was that fun.
yeah startrek is about equality and exploration and shiznit but I don't want to watch a civil alien rights movie for 2 hours....even in the other star trek movies there was a villain and action adventure and Enterprise destruction and ship crashing and explosions..this one shouldn't be any different.
I'd still watch a general old themed star trek tv show too though..but I do like the new reboot. I don't even know what they'd do with a new startrek series though I'm sure somebody is in talks somewhere with it.
but like the past few series haven't even been that great..entertaining but nothing magical. The only thing I had to fill the void was stargate universe which owuld have been a perfect startrek series but those stargate fans have no idea what they're missing T_T
THAT'S where that woman is from. Yes she certainly looks better on this show actually. She got more attractive with age.
Don't you hate it when you're watching a movie or show and you're like, "Where have I seen this person before? He/she looks so damn familiar! ***, where's imdb when I need it?"
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
