I'm pretty sure 6 was released in 94 ish... 7 was out in 97, 8 was 99 and 10 was 2000... Pretty sure 8 and 9 were being worked on at the same time as well... 3 titles in a pretty short span for the PS1...

That's my point, that short time frame in the late ninties early 2000s was just quality title one after the other and these are games that take a lot of development, usually only see one or two, maybe three at a stretch games of such quality from any given company over a decade. Bahamut Lagoon was 96, Xenogears I think was around 98, Parastie Eve 98, Legend of Mana 99, Vagrant Story 2000.
Wait, wasn't there a FF something multiplayer on Gamecube? I remember playing a bit of that with same roommates I grew up with watching them play FF7, 8, 9 and 10. We played that Gamecube game a few times and I had fun.

Crystal Chronicles.
TY Row! Yep, I also played that. So TWO FF games I have played. Count that, TWO!
Yep, and I remmeber us hooking up two of ours to play Mario Kart Double Dash on two big screens (the old school ones) so all of us could race at once ^^

Xenogears was the only title I really enjoyed out of the few you just listed there... It did come out in 98.. Vagrant story was ok if its the one I'm thinking about... Though I have to say I have still yet to play bahamut lagoon to this day...
There were a lot of great games that came out for the PS1 and I have a fairly extensive collection of them (predominitely RPGs)... the gaming industry is just adapting a bit to accomodate a greater number of players and differeing tastes... that's pretty much why I think what I would classify as an RPG or what I think is referred to as a JRPG nowadays is so different than it used to be...
Only 2 FF?!
I played all from 1 to 12, X-2, 12-RW, Tactics, TA, TA2, CC:EoT, CC:RoF, CC:MlaaD, CC:CB; and watched on youtube cause I couldn't play them the 7 spinoffs, 13 and 13-2. I miss 4-2, the first CC, My life as a King and War of the lions...don't think there's any other left.
edit: oh yeah, Heroes of light and its sequel cause I was never able to find it in stores .-.
The FF's on PS1 were great but the system had a lot of other really good RPG games. Ogre Battle, Jade Cocoon, Grandia, Kartia, Front Mission, Saga Frontier, and more. I consider that era the golden age of gaming.
For GC I had Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Ocarina of Time (got that by reserving windwaker and never picking up wind waker game, too gd childy), Twilight Princess, Smash Bros, Cloen Wars, Rogue Squadron, Spiderman, Robotech, Mario Kart Double Dash, and well can't rememeber much else.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
