Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

As the day sat in for our young soldier, the sun slowly progressed over the hills in the remote mountains, he thought to himself how he had yet made it through another night without being spotted by the enemies recon team, but then he realized out of the 100 possible candidates they chose him for this mission. He carefully covered up his overnight camp made sure no traces were left behind of his presence. Day 4 he muttered to himself and yet the only intel he had gathered was the bases location and the general routes of military traffic, as he progressed up the steep ravine a sudden shot snapped past his ear and ricocheted off the tree to the immediate left of him, instinct kicked in and he ducked for the nearest closed spot, he realized that his job had not been done that well, he inched backwards into the woods for more cover so he could *** the situation and where the recon team was, suddenly a sharp pain entered his right side followed by a hand over his mouth....blackness followed....
