If <3 LuLu <3 is there though...
To be fair once you move past the light hearted writing and, for lack of a better term, girlishness, the game play is pritty awesome. The battle system has alot to it in order to master it. For example having a gunner use trigger happy and then time a powerful attack from another character at the end for the added combo damage.

Personally I think the 100% ending makes X-2 worth it >.> Without it, not so much lol
I actually hated the 100% ending because of reasons I can't explain due to sagi opening spoilers >.>

Ah, Legend of Dragoon. A great game, with one of my favorite combat systems ever.

Translation team wasn't so great though. Just about every bit of dialogue sounds really uncomfortable. Like, badly translated Manga uncomfortable.

I don't remember a lot of the dialogue :o but I was like... 12 when I played, and didn't really care about stuff like that yet :/ oo shiny.
I was about the same age too and I didn't care either.

I still don't, mostly. It doesn't annoy me, but it does make me laugh.

Well yeh I know but the sphere hunting stuff looks plain stupid especially when the ridiculous ship can't even detect the spheres until it's convenient for the story. The battle system looks great though. The main reason I won't play it though, or I am very unlikely to play it, is because it's a money making sequel based on fan service and nothing more.

I'd play it just because it's chucked full of content and has plenty of value within the battle system alone. However, if you're looking for a deep, or meaningful "Final Fantasy" title, look elsewhere. The game is great as a game, terrible as a FF.
