Ugh, there's so many kingdom hearts spinoffs that I don't even know what the game is about anymore or where the core of the story lies therein anymore.
its SE.. they have to milk their franchises. IE: FF7 PC re-re-release.
And this is probably what I hate about SE more than their general direction of games: They treat games within a franchise...like their own franchise. It really milks out everything that made the original(s) great to begin with.
X-2 ruined my perspective of X with it's unnecessary continuation and the pretty princess dress-me-up Charlie's Angels fan services. Which sucks, because X was a great game.
XIII was already awful in my opinion, and XIII-2's status as an apology letter while being a diluted and perverse version of Chrono Trigger won't win me back.
Advent Children and Crisis Core added some good perspective to VII since the original was so obscure and vague at times, but the degree in which they've saturated it is really beginning to damper all the glory it once stood for.
And now they're doing it again with Kingdom Hearts, with their handfuls of spinoffs spanning across 3-4 different platforms, it's very tiring and troublesome.
