But but but :( Xgears was actually originally planned to be a Final Fantasy game but was considered too dark and complex but Square continued with the project, so it's essentially a Final Fantasy!

I never really understood the purpose of Necron rather than just being there for convenience tbh. It's not like it had any bearing on the story did it?

He should've stayed as a boss; maybe have him follow the party trying to get revenge on Zidane as a recurring battle. Even Quina had more relevance to the story than Amarant as he was. :<

No. It's only purpose seems to have been to continue the trend of ending the game with a battle against a god.

Idk, Kuja didn't seem like the type to ever rely on backup.

I like Amarant too, he's just a bit of a loner with no sense of purpose in his life, kind of why he joins the group I think.

I like kids :) idk Mag try doing jumps with the crying baby works for my little friends, have to make it all dramatic of course like your a rocket taking off :D (although that's more just for my amusement <.< >.>)

I think Kuja would've made a fine final boss as he was. I mean the guy had achieved a state of permanent Trance; a boost in power that even the main characters can only hold for a tiny amount of time. He was plenty powerful as he was.
If he had to have another form, maybe it could have had something to do with all the souls he absorbed from the Invincible. Like maybe he'd start to lose control over them and they'd start *** him up by making him more powerful but also more unstable and unpredictable.

I'm not into the tiny wiggly ones. They stink, cry, poop themselves, then stink and cry some more. I can handle them more when they can talk.

Well the forms thing was mostly to make it a bit more challenging because it was a really simple fight :| Necron was more difficult with all his stupid status effects. Other than the final boss and Amarant I think FF9 was one of the best FFs they've made so far. Really hope they can make another game with such great music that really sets the mood in each scene and a world that feels magical wherever you go. Even though I played the game when I was around 10 I still remember the Gargan Roo, the Lifa Tree, Ipsen's Castle and the library in Daguerro.
