Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

From what I was reading yesterday, this can pretty much replace everything except Earth/Terra's for PDT and the Magian staves for pure damage.

It even works for RNG Wildfire because of the +5 AGI mod. Plus it gets an extra bonus if weather is present (lolFireWeather).

I'd just make this staff, then grab a cheap Earth Staff for your idle set. (Since it's the same -PDT as Terra's.)

Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel. I'm not ready to care for another high-maintenance animal just yet. I live alone, and work full-time as it is. And I have my son to think about, who just recently potty trained, so I feel like I'm just now finally getting out of the "animal" phase with him. :P

Doesn't help that I also have a lot of trouble with focus/attention that I didn't have before. Not sure what could cause that but it makes it hard enough for me to even give my son all the attention he needs while he's with me. Add a puppy into the mix and I'd be all o_O all the time.

It's very pretty for a casual mage, and very convenient. But yeh, my Surya's staff isn't even done yet and it already has cure potency +22%, a HUGE bonus over this staff's 10%. Unless there's some hidden effect that I haven't noticed yet, I'll be keeping my magian staves.

I do have woodworking 100 though, and my husband has decent synergy skill, so if any of our friends wanted one of them we could make it between the two of us.

It certainly doesn't replace Surya's, but it basically (situationally) replaces all regular Elemental staves except Terra's for -PDT purposes.

Until testing is done (maybe it has been and I didn't see it), the Iridescence effect could put it close to the Magian staves when under the proper weather effect, too. (Do BLM's sub SCH at all, still? Mine was 59 when I deactivated and I was soloing it.)

Plus, it makes my inventory leading up to Magian staves a bit easier to handle. (Level 51-??.)

Iridescence is its own unique effect, isn't it? I'd imagine that means they'll stack. Just don't know if it'll be multiplicative, or additive. (Is there a thread with testing yet? I'd like to see, but being deactivated and having no Obis, I have no way to do it myself.)

You have an amazing mage and should never let him go... back in the days of Nin/drk I had to ask for refresh almost every single time. I think I remember there being 1 rdm who would do it with out being asked.
