I think anyone who has taken a psychostimulant will tell you it boosts attentiveness. Honestly though, like I said, I tried to ignore my condition for a decade, but my grades in schools were just suffering way too much for me to ignore the problem.
Also, Jet, I'm not going to regret having my ADD treated, but will you be able to say that in the future? What do you have to lose with actually treating it?

The only point was just that your case doesn't necessarily apply to everyone else with the same problem.

How is that a bad example? If you can't understand it yourself you're really overboard with this. My point was the natural route isn't the most effective, so why should it be the case with everything else? Didn't Steve Jobs die because of this whole natural treatment ideal?
it is in a lot of cases, and any doctor worth their salt would prefer the natural way of fixing something over than needlessly prescribing something, however there is an issue in the industry, prompted by greed and ignorance, and not just by the producer, but the consumer too.
If there was a way to restore the body's way to produce it's own insulin, they'd use it over shots. If people can cope with their "disorders" without medication, they should. There are many good doctors out there that do try to guide people to do things naturally... You want to know what the biggest problem is? The people themselves... There are also factors that they take into account for like age and other medical conditions to say just a couple... but its like you tell someone hey you have high cholesterol... To a younger person they'll probably advise that they cut down on certain types of foods or do this or that... but hey the person actually has to go home and do it... just like with depression and ADD... you actually have to trust the person to go home and get the help after the diagnosis... On the other hand it's a lot easier at times to nip it in the butt and throw some pills at it... best choice? no. but it might be the best for that person as they might just go home... do nothing and let it get worse... I'm not advocating throwing pills at stuff but it's not as simple as oh people are greedy and incompetent and just throw pills at people as a consequence...

as I've done both, yes I found that I enjoy myself much more when I'm not drugged 24/7, while it has it's downsides, tbh I could fix most of those with some determination, but I'm lazy (that hasn't changed).

we weren't really arguing though, just throwing ideas out, well until a certain point...

there's also a large difference between a testable diagnosis, and one that isn't testable.
It is that simple: those who don't treat their "problem" or are attempting to acquire medications for things they don't have are incompetent and or greedy, the doctors who prescribe things when they shouldn't are the same, so yes it boils down to that.
For now though, I have to go to work, so somebody else will have to feed you.

I stopped one of my medications because I didn't like it, so I'm not like always trying to get meds. My ADD meds work and that's why I take them. The Social Anxiety meds made me feel like ***, so I stopped taking them.

When people say "I don't have time to feed you flavin" it makes me think of those starving children commercials..
for $1 a day, you could help feed, clothe, and provide a better life for Flavin.

He even said that he has attention issues that he hasn't been able to overcome on his own. I guess he could overcome them, but he has yet to do it. Funnily enough, my Adderall has sped up my metabolism. How is that for bad side effects?

It's been a long time since I've had some Fish & Chips.
Think I got turned off from it after having a bad serving from this diner. The fish wasn't fried very well, so it was very greasy and soggy, and the fries chips weren't fried very well either, they too were soggy and gross.

That picture had no effect on me lol. My meds are also an appetite suppressant. These meds are amazing if you're trying to lose weight. Unfortunately, I lost like 90% of my weight before I had the meds.

Yeah, he's a real life elvaan too. 6'7" tall, about 230 lbs.
And Tinymage is my bro-in-law. He re-aquired his character from me.

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
