The coding part isn't hard for me. I'm just HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE at the logic sometimes.
great at the logic, bad at the code.
ah, I mean grim is alright to a degree, but they went overboard, especially with Kamille, (don't spoiler anything of that for me :P)
@Volkom: be a programmer, freelance, just be really good.
well unless you like people, then you could do customer support, or if you like people and business, then be in IT itself, but the latter two I don't and wouldn't do well in, I suck at programming but I'm going to have to learn unless I want to pay others to program all my hardware, which would seriously kill my profit margin. but I hate programming. Its not fun/enjoyable.
we all played XI, we should all love tedious mindless tasks that takes hours with little reward though :P
*** that *** >_> haven't touched the game since christmas. but i may be coming back to it >_>;
and d3 is kinda of the same way. but its satisfying in its own ways.
but anywho my ideas on what i can maybe do with my cs major is probably something in IT, cuz i plan on getting my CCNA and VMware certifications after college. so maybe i can do something with that, either networking or technical marketing or something around there. But i really want to get into the video game industry and stuff :| i should talk to scragg/jaerik on that and see what their opinion is.
I'm required to take two precalc classes first, so I hope that gets me prepared. Like I said, I need to get to work on summer semester otherwise my math is going to take like 5 years.
at my university, the college of engineering isn't going to allow any students into its classes unless they are taking their introductory major course, calc I and something else. They got two tries to pass the intro course, if they can't pass under those 2 attempts, they won't be allowed to take that major ever here. O_O (which kinda makes sense but jeeze rough stuff) and here, CS majors are required to keep atleast a 2.5 gpa, which sounds kinda rough...cuz currently this department only has a 20% retention rate...which is scary D: avg gpa currently is like a 2.3 >_> so...wtf texas tech
i feel like this department is going to die

The department relatively new at Tech, right? Why didn't you just stay in ATX, and go to UT? Just wondering.
EDIT: Their department is well established. I guess it's too late to transfer for you too. Just got to make that last push.

When I worked at Johnny Carino's we got 1 free dinner everyday, there were a few high priced items you couldn't order, but you could practically order anything..
At Sonic we weren't allowed ***, unless we were closing, cuz main owner dude was never there and they would let us take home whatever chicken strips/fries/tots where left over. (There was rarely anything substantial because late at night we would start frying everything to order just so there wouldn't be left overs).
You could buy food at discount from there, but absolutely nothing except soda was free. Hell if a customer ordered a burger or something and changed their mind we weren't even usually allowed that.. It would sit there for a couple of hours just in case some other customer has the exact same tastes. After a few hours if it hadn't moved they might consider letting one of us lowly workers have the thing. when i worked at a Sonic in arkansas, they allowed us to have any food we wanted for free on our lunch break, which was a paid lunch. the only thing you couldn't get free was ice cream/fruit. you could get cheddar peppers, a burger with everything on it, and a big thing of fries with chili and cheese and onions and what-not...and a huuuuge soda or slushie...for free. and get paid to eat it.
the sonic here in texas...yea they'd charge you for one pickle slice even if it was old and filthy

No. They actually have practical, employable degrees/certifications. One of the GCs we regularly work with has his certifications in Drafting from there.
EDIT: I thought it was a bottom rung thing too for a long time.

Not sure, but then again, I don't think you need an actual degree to be handed over your family's construction business.

its a nonacreddited college, so you can't transfer credits you earn there to 4 year universities like UT or whatever and vice versa.
but i heard the classes you take have actual practical work applications instead of all the *** theory run around ***you learn

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
