*** cs degrees. I'm a cs major atm. And I absolutely don't wanna end up as a programmer. What else can I do with it? (I got ideas but I want people's opinions) You could do Geek Squad.

Dunno how you were allowed to just eat whatever while working at fast food.. I worked for Sonic and boss would damn near have an aneurysm if you ate a single fry.. Coulda been dropped on the floor, stepped on and let sit over night, eating that fry is stealing!

You might already know this but the extended ME3 ending is being released tomorrow supposedly... Just thought that if you didn't know you would want to.
The what now o_O? Is it going to be DLC or something? I am not amused they are doing this because it is essentially admitting to rushing the game.

I don't know either I worked at Burger King, and my brother worked at a different Burger King; He had to pay for food, and I didn't.

Eating anything and everything you want might be a bit much, but I've always heard of a meal/regular order being fine. Maybe your boss was crazy?

I'm not sure how they do inventory at fast food places though (like how accountable they are for a giving out free food)... but in general some bosses are just ***... they'd throw the food away before they'd let you have it lol...

Dunno..
When I worked at Johnny Carino's we got 1 free dinner everyday, there were a few high priced items you couldn't order, but you could practically order anything..
At Sonic we weren't allowed ***, unless we were closing, cuz main owner dude was never there and they would let us take home whatever chicken strips/fries/tots where left over. (There was rarely anything substantial because late at night we would start frying everything to order just so there wouldn't be left overs).
You could buy food at discount from there, but absolutely nothing except soda was free. Hell if a customer ordered a burger or something and changed their mind we weren't even usually allowed that.. It would sit there for a couple of hours just in case some other customer has the exact same tastes. After a few hours if it hadn't moved they might consider letting one of us lowly workers have the thing.

I'd love to. But now I'm not sure if I'd want to do CS or Engineering. I just want to do whatever is going to be the most fun.
Problem comes up when you factor in all the other stuff. Right now, I work full-time. Mortgage payment. Car payment. Utilities, etc. Insurance (me and more specifically, my son). And child support. Which is about to go up, almost double, to the point that I've got to consider a second job just to get by.
I was wondering if your son lived with you or his mother. Why would child support double? How do they determine something like that? I ask, only because recently, one of my friend's husband's was doubled for both of his previous children outside their marriage. They file taxes separately now, so that her income stays within their family specifically.
Until now, he's lived between the two of us. But a while back, she asked if I'd give her an extra 1% custody so they could get a place with an extra room because she's pregnant (her husband is in the army). When I refused, I got a surprise a few months later when I was informed that she'd filed with an attorney for "school year" style custody, so she could enroll him in head start. Which, of course, we had NEVER talked about before. (He's only 3.)
Of course, she gets what she wants, because I work irregular hours, and she doesn't work at all. So, child support is going up, partly because of the change in % custody (from 50% to me only having 25%), and partly because she went from having an income (small, but something) to no income, because they don't take her husband into consideration for it.
It's odd, though. Supposedly, her lawyer thinks it would be $350-375 per month. With no reported income on her end. But when we filed originally, for 50/50 and her having an income roughly 1/3 of mine, I was going to have to pay $425 per month. When we filed our last agreement, his mom set it at $200 per month because she knew I couldn't survive off of any more than that.
But now, that's all out the window. She's left me feeling pretty beaten down about the whole situation. It was bad enough when she lived here in town and I had to share him with her. It feels like there's nothing fair about the justice system. I just keep telling myself that I'm doing what's best for him in the long run by going along with it, doing my best to stay important to him as he grows up.

Also, I've known plenty of gals who worked through their pregnancy right up until the day of. Employers will accommodate in most jobs. Women not working during pregnancy is BS. I mean...***! My company has a room for breast feeding mothers, so they can feed or pump in private! Not to mention six weeks maternity leave, three weeks vacation, one week sick/personal time.
On a side note: I think it's funny that my friends who teach time a lot of their pregnancies for six weeks before school is out for the summer. Good planning!

My brother and I used to get into those nasty, rip-roaring, pulling hair, slapping, screaming, sitting on me fights when we were little, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Siblings! The BEST!

Shepard was the only one to take it in the face and then she had the balls to get up for more... Oh yeh I lied, the closure wasn't my only problem. Khalee Sanders wasn't near as hot as they made her out to be in the books. Kai Lang vs Shepard made up for it though because I didn't see that awesome comming XD

It's not that she can't work during pregnancy. It's that she just doesn't "have" to work, since the army pays for them to have a place to live, etc., and they have her husband's income on top of it. But the way the court sees it, it's me vs. her, not my household vs. her household.
Trust me, I have no problem in the least with paying child support. I just wish I had control over how that money was spent (most of it doesn't need to be, and should be getting saved for when he's older).
That, and I wish I could just spend all my free time with him. :/

This is what bugs me. She's capable, but doesn't. Why should your payments be upped if she chooses not to work?
Yeah...I don't doubt that in the least, but she's stretching your household thin. I wish courts would take this into consideration, especially since she won't even get off her butt, and get a silly minimum wage job. How do people even live with themselves sitting in the house all day and not interact with actual people? That would drive me up the wall!
Sad that you can't.

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
