This is the water quality report for 2011 in my town.

If you compare the amounts shown on the report with the amounts shown on the standards list, they are NOT within acceptable amounts.
What's not within acceptable limits? Looks fine to me.
Agreed, I couldn't find anything wrong either. So either there is a mass conspiracy to make the drinking water in his town bad or he is reading the chart wrong.
Also that drinking water quality index seems a little stupid to me.
By reading that chart you would think with the US being so low on the list that our drinking water was somehow contaminated or not safe.
I have a feeling that the same amount of people get sick from the drinking water in America and Finland. Zero percent.
Of course there are times when there is a water main break and you have to boil it. So I guess in rare instances people uninformed of the problem could get sick. But that happens everywhere. You have to have pipes to bring in the water and sometimes they break.
Basically as long as you don't live in a third world country, you are fine.
