Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

Well 'get it right' might not be quite the right description.. My bread still isn't coming out quite like someone who's been doing it for years manages to make.. It's definitely getting better though.. Before I started trying I never really understood why someone would be called an artisan for making bread.. Now I realize it truly is an art form.. So many different little things effect the end result..

I tried following recipes exactly, it never works for me.. So I started just experimenting myself and tweaking other people's recipes.. Instead of just following people's directions, I started to actually teach myself how to make bread (that's edible/desirable in the end).. Now I have a pretty good grasp of how each step effects the end result and how the dough behaves, and I'm getting a lot better at making bread.. My last one was french bread and it was chewy inside, but also had some nice big air bubbles (first for me, until that one, all my bread has been pretty dense) running through it, and the crust was flaky.

That sounds AWESOME! Anything actually cooked with fire tastes that much more amazing!

I've learned that trial and error is always the best learning experience when it comes to food. Still lazy about kneading though.

Slip, the mixer has a pasta, ravioli, and ice cream maker!!!

For work experience in 8th grade I worked at my friend's mom's place and we'd make baguette (it was some healthy food kinda store) which turned out awesome. Was made with dinkel flour (Spelled flour?) and some kinda seeds.

Only one I'd probably use would be the pasta one.. I absolutely detest ravioli, and I don't like ice cream enough to want to make it myself really..

Oh God! When will people learn that giving someone a Bible as a gift, if it's not after a confirmation, catechism, baptism, etc., is basically a slap in the face?

I haven't had lobster in years despite it being one of my favorite foods.. The only time I can justify spending the money for it, is when that money is 100% mine.. Wife is always offering to buy it for me, but I always say no.

Of course they do.. How else are you supposed to make money when you build a mixer that lasts forever?

Never had lobster... Also, never been to red lobster or sizzler...

accesories are money makers on a lot of products.. they lower the price on the main item and then hammer you when you go to buy accesories for it...

haven't been to red lobster in ages, for my birthday my gf brought over some nice beefy shrimp (they were *** huge :o) and grilled them up with a butter & garlic sauce, it was so good :3

Between the two of us, my husband and I had seven Bibles laying around the house. Seven! And every single one of them had been gifted to us by our parents. I refused to pack all seven of them up and cart them around while we moved, so we ripped the dedication pages out to avoid giving everyone our personal information and took all but one of them to Goodwill. Getting a Bible? Ok sure, it's sweet that someone was concerned about our spiritual well-being, however misguided they might be. Getting several Bibles from the same source? Lol >< this is not as amusing nor as subtle as you think it is, Mom!

I think I have around uh ... 22 bibles just in my bookshelf? all gifts :| half of them are children ones i've had for at least 20+ years lol.

I have 0 bibles... that's right 0! I had one that was purchased for classes in HS but I think that's gone now...

I basically did the same. The only one I have now is the one that my grandfather gave me after confirmation.

I don't see why your parents find it necessary to continually jam Christianity down your throat in your adulthood. You're the AH sweetpea! I can't imagine you being anything else outside of here.

All about personal opinion and perception... Just because you see something one way and even if it's "right" which is somewhat subjective in most cases... doesn't mean another will see it exactly as you do... and misguided though it may be in some cases some still go about trying to "do good" in their own way even though it doesn't really help...

Yeah...It would be nice if most people here were. There's one guy at work that always invites everyone to Bible study, church events, etc. Nice gesture, but two of us have already made our grievances with organized religion clear and have flat out said that we're agnostic.

He's kind of shut up about lately, but once in a damn while...IDK. I think since we've said that he's basically made it his mission to annoy us about religion. I don't want to hear about scripture at work, and I definitely don't want to be solicited on a monthly basis. He's the only one who bothers me about it.
