What can you tell me about Diablo 3? I've never played the games of the saga.
It is the most simple formula you could possibly imagine for a game.
Enter dungeon, cut/thrust/burn/hack/chop/stab/punch/tearapartwithmagic relentless waves of enemies while hoarding gold and awesome unidetified items.
Proceed to next dungeon level.
Repeat.
You would think it get's boring, BUT IT NEVER DOES :D
Blizzard base the games around a repeating story surrounding the return of Diablo all evil breaking loose etc etc but it's just awesome dungeon crawling tbh.
What made me never really get bored is the random generator about pretty much everything. Playing a game that you know exactly where and what everything is before you get into it, kills the whole aspect of adventure for me :(.
GO INTO THE UNKNOWN, HOPEFULLY MEPHISTO DROPS SOMETHING GOOD THIS TIME.
Just play at your own pace, you'll get high level eventually and most games these days are easy to level cap in anyway :| (to get to the fun endgame instead of the lowbie boring stuff)

gonna have to get it then, it will be a game my gf will play with me...(can't get her into many, and I don't play "the sims"
It's not really a game for character customisation, it's an isometric view so things like facial features, body size etc is irrelevant, you can find unique armour sets for classes and in D3 different classes specialise in different weapons, where as in D1 and D2 you basically allocated stats to STR DEX etc each level up and that would determine which weapons/magic you could wield.
There are 5 different classes to play in D3 >
Barbarian (typical warrior class common throughout the series)
Demon Hunter (ranged fighter similar to the amazon from D1 and D2)
Witch Doctor (a necromancer with dark magic)
Monk (beats hell out of stuff with fist and healing buffs)
Wizard (elemental mage common throughout D1 and D2)
add: As Misa says, each class has a unique skill tree that opens up as you level up, in D3 Blizzard have opened up the skill system a bit more and each class has several different skill categories you can allocate to button commands similar to an MMO, whereas in D1 and D2 you would allocate a single skill to the right mouse button (left button standard swing attack).

xiv is very quick and casual too. it only takes about maybe a week to level a class (playing a lot) and you get rested bonus for logging out in an inn, which is more effective for being logged out for longer times, and anima for teleportation is slow to regen so being logged out for longer amounts of time helps with regening anima. dungeons are pretty quick and don't have long reenter times.

There were some guys talking about D3 next to us in the theater last night. Just made me want to fix whatever is wrong with my PC! It's weird how much you can learn about strangers when you have a 2 hour wait for a movie. One of the guys was a 33 year old computer tech who goes home to play video games after work, so he wonders how nerdy people think he is. >.>;
Someone asked what you do when you have 2 hours to kill before a movie a few pages back. Some dude had his laptop there, watching anime before it started. XD Everyone else was smart phoning it up. :3
I love going to movies. Not sure what theater you go to where the movies sound like crap, Mag, but that's one of my favorite parts. The awesome sound systems! That being said, I honestly want to go see Battleship in theater for the LOUD NOISES! :3 A good soundtrack makes that even better!
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
