Just level smithing and enchanting and you'll never die lol

Enchanting won't save my *** from drive by flame breath unless I put nothing but resist magic and health regen on my armor >.>

At least Skyrim gives you time to react and chug down healing potions and run away from certain doom. Unlike other games >.>

With high enough smithing (and enchanting/alchemy) a dragon will never give you trouble, even on expert :| That's why I play 4x expert difficulty

I weighed the pros and cons, and decided talking with old friends and maybe having a little fun for a month is worth the excruciating boredom of the install and update ordeal.

What is it exactly that gives you such high rate of survivability?
Do you use magic damage reduction enchantments, or does legendary augments to armor really mitigate damage that well? Note that I don't plan to exploit or make myself OP through unconventional means like stacking circlets with falmer helmets and stuff like that.

Granted, I'm currently level 8, but if I get too reckless or stand in the fire and let anyone chomp away at me without caution, my health is gone in the blink of an eye.

I just stand behind Lydia like a *** lol.. I've already had to reload at least 10 times from her death (that isn't including the ones where I killed her by accident or she got in the way of my magic and the enemy).

Then again, I'm a mage (offensive magic) and I'm wearing robes, not even any armor.. I can't really take hits, at all.. I do a lot of running backwards while dual casting magic..

I just use Health+ stuff and high smithing (with potions) and I never die (unless I fall off a cliff :|). Even with 4x expert I only have problems with Dragons and that's only if I get hit by a breath. Best to just stand behind a rock when it does it (or use the shield with the magic shield/spell) to block it :| Nothing is really dangerous when you have high def armor/high attack weapons.

Those are easy to get even at low level too if you spam iron daggers. Alchemy and enchanting takes a bit longer though.

Edit: I use the Nightingale armor with my own enchantments (downloaded a mod so I can make my own armor) since the original ones suck and also a nightingale sword.

For enchantments I believe I did bow damage and one hand damage on my gloves, resist magic and physical on my rings, necklace with health regen and resist magic, armor with. . . oh hell I can't remember; give me a bit to get on (maybe update) and see what I did. My character (only have one) is a "do all the things" type. Except be evil (not counting Dark Brotherhood/Thieves Guild quest requirements).

I'll give a more detailed post of my enchantments, crafting gear, etc. in a bit. It was enough for me to play at 8x (or 10x, I forget) Master difficulty, at which point dragons could kill me in around 5 seconds of staying in their breath if I didn't use one of my potions.

I have a ton of different sets depending on what I do. If I fight a fire dragon I put on fire resist and ice for an ice dragon (if this stuff even works) and rings with damage etc. Of course I console'd weight because I *** hate weight limits, it's so annoying.

I have a few pieces I swap around but nothing to that effect. I didn't console my weight but I did use the feather enchantment (not sure if that's the name). Whichever one increased your weight limit. As for actual element resists, which were fixed in 1.4 I believe, I have those in my potions. One potion gives me 89% (I think) resist of an element. Even then an Ancient Dragon can kill me in 10ish seconds with his breath if I don't shield bash him, run to his sides (wings), or do something to stop the hurt.
