»How old is your Harddrive? Wonder if that's starting to go bad.
same as everything else, '08.
Been working fine since before the new GPU.
Maybe you shouldn't build your own stuff >.>
this is a rather silly comment.
Catnip I'm going to go with overheating, check your bios and see if there's a safety tempt setting, I mean your PSU could be going bad.
Was this doing this with the old video card too (I know you were having problems, don't remember if the card is new or not.)
Not doing it with old card, I'll have to check the BIOS in a bit, watching some stuff on netflix now lol.

»Catnip is your power supply powerful enough?
This guy keeps saying that it should, he has a power supply that's a little weaker then mine in wattage and he runs a slightly better maching then I have lol.
I think the question should be.
You sure your PSU hasn't deteriorated in quality and thus can't perform under load.
I'm leaning more and more towards that the more testing I do.
The thing thought that still puzzles me a little bit is why the 3Dmark program ran without a hitch with these amazing GPU and CPU intensive graphics, while PSO2 Character creator, skyrim, Arkham city (under any setting) will shut it off.
Or that I am able to play TOR, Crysis (maxed out settings) and uh ... oh yeah ... solitaire... that really pushed my PC to it's limits mannnnnn.

I doubt it's deteriorated that much in just that amount of time, 480w isn't that much for a 600+ psu.
I've a 650W in my PC right now, even if it's deteriorated in what it can push out I think I should be fine, unless it's something internal messed up or something.
Could it also be one of the wiring things gone bad?
