Oh nooooo! There was one of those silly e-card things, you know the ones with the supposedly witty one-liners on them? on Pinterest, and it said "I think you are old enough now to know that the Easter bunny and Jesus don't exist." And at the time I was all 'tehehehe' so I clicked like on it.

Anyhow. I have Pinterest spam turned off on my facebook because it has no need to be badgering everyone on my friends list and I don't need to see it. I already know what I pinned! But Pinterest decided it was be lovely to announce to the world and everyone that I liked that e-card. And I didn't notice for a few hours because I wasn't on facebook.

Anyhow. My mother-in-law saw it. Damn it Pinterest, when I am lying to my whole family about my religious beliefs (or lack thereof) and when I have you turned OFF my facebook, why oh why oh why do you choose the most incriminating possible thing and announce it to my mother-in-law? *sob* Can't you tell I'm trying to live a drama-free life by way of trickery, lies, and deceit over here?!

Oh well. xD I don't suppose I could have kept it secret forever. Just for the love of truck, don't tell my stepmother!

Ugh. I'd file a serious complaint, and spice up the details. Like your neighbors saw it and they popped your tires and you may have to move now.

Claim to be a deist. It's the one saving grace you may have.

"I believe in God, but I just don't think that the people who wrote the bible really understood what was going on. We're too stupid to understand God."

Edit: survival > principles sometimes.

It's funny how Atheists are found to be these monstrosities that are second only to criminals. I'm that way with my grandfather. If he knew I was a Democrat that would kill him. If he knew I was an Atheist, that would make him want to kill me. It's a good thing he doesn't use Facebook. lol

Do the bolded part first. Shouldn't be the problem, but since it is coming up as a video problem, a loose cable (or even the video card being partially out) could give an error.

Confused by the italicized, though. That makes it sound like an OS problem. Unless it's a really bad way of saying, "Hey, your video drivers aren't up to date, so we need you to put in a CD with a new driver on it!"

I'm not a fan of hardware troubleshooting. If you're lucky, Jet or someone who seems to be more into that stuff will happen along.

At least she's Lutheran. All the Lutherans are pretty laid-back, so she'll probably glare and guilt me for awhile and then get over it. My dad and stepmother are Baptist, so they are a bit more uptight. >.> Those two get all riled up over anything remotely resembling secular ideals. Heh, they yelled at my biology teacher in high school for like an hour because they were mad that the school required them to let me take biology and the teacher taught evolution as part of the curriculum. Oops.

Anyhow! I really couldn't have kept up the lie forever. It was starting to get wearisome. I should probably be grateful that someone finally popped the lie bubble, lol.

You people are weird! (Okay, I'll admit, I'm the weird one.)

I've made it perfectly clear to my family that I'm non-religious. (I'd be more likely to say Agnostic over Atheist, if only to avoid the "Well, can you prove it?" argument.)

It's strangers (like the people who come knocking on your door) that I tend to have trouble saying it to. I usually just lie to them, say "Yeah, yeah, my family goes to *Suchandsuch* church" (Which isn't a lie, they do!)... Usually gets rid of them faster.

I don't have a problem with them at all. Don't hand me a bible, because I will use it to build a fire. I've always wanted to see those guys then get naked before answering the door. "Yes, please. Talk to me about this 'God' character..."

Lucky. My brother is one of my favorite family members, he glared the heck out of me for insinuating that Obama wasn't as bad as Bush. And I had one cousin who ever came clean about not following the family religion. He was disowned. :/

I think it's just accepted in my family that if they all see something one way, odds are I'll see it the other. They're all Christian, Republican, etc. I'm non-religious and centrist. The only person I can have a real discussion with about anything in the way of politics or religion is my dad.

My mom once made one of those comments about Obama being the anti-Christ. It took everything I had to shut my mouth and settle for a very visible /facepalm.

Oh god the door-to-door religious people. GTFO. Last time one of them came they got a very anti-religious response and the door slammed in their face. I already don't go to church, I don't need you coming to my house to tell me about stuff I have zero interest in. The worse one ever was this one guy who stuck his foot in the door when I went to close it once. That pissed me off to no end.

Does it have to be PowerPoint, or does it just need to do what PowerPoint does?

Oracle has OpenOffice for free. Generally has most of the same capabilities as Microsoft stuff.

I only ever used the thing that mimics MS Word. Never had a problem with it. But I never had to do anything all that in-depth with it, either.
