I haven't seen a plan without at least 1000 texts on it in years, sms I can understand (well used to) but texts...
and that logic is flawed.
Yeah the last few years of plans all have texting, though around here they still offer very simple plans that don't have any on it. (Which is what a lot of people get here, it's the standard usually.) Unless of course, you get a smart phone which requires a data package.
I never said their reasoning made sense, but that's just what they tell me when I start pestering them about why don't they have texting. Having to call my parents just for a simple single question is annoying.
I believe the minimum data plan is $10/month extra here (Verizon), and they see that as a wasted $120/year. I personally love texting, I'm just giving what they tell me, never said it was a good reason.
