Finished AC: revelations

now I get to sit in the same boat as everybody else and wait til October for the next installment.

Revelations wasn't bad at all...it just wasn't an improvement on anything (lol..bombs..no..hacknslash forever). It was also incredibly short and the facial expressions were back to their weird looking state. Am a little meh that there wasn't a resolution to Ezio...I had to look up what happens to him on the internets.

I love how though when I first started playing the series I was explaining to my family about what it is and how it is M rated and such because of blood and gore and manlyness and language and boobs etc etc then my bro walks up to me in the middle of playing Revelations the other day and was all like "what are you doing?" and I was all "Ezio is picking flowers for a picnic"

I haven't touched Revelations yet, but I'm thinking I may just avoid that one and just wait for 3. I'm liking the incursion of early American historical fiction games as of late. AC3 and Bioshock Infinite both. Now if only we could get Call of Duty: American Civil War... Hey, they could totally base that off of Ambrose Bierce's Chickamuaga!

looking good, but super pissed that missing one little thing in an early chapter brought me down so bad. the grading after that chapter i was at a mid 60 and its taken me like 4 chapters to bring it up to a middle B.

on the other hand I've missed a discussion board, a test, and two papers in my intro class.

There was a civil war mod for Halflife 1 way back in 2000 or so. MOST FUN I HAVE EVER HAD IN A FPS. Even if the rifles were inaccurate at 25 yards the game was so fun. Reload literally took 15 to 20 second. Full muzzle loader reload animation. you'd charger people, fire your shot and hope for a hit then run around trying to stab them with your bayonet or try to dodge and reload.

If you played as an officer then you got a flintlock pistol which was awesomly powerful at pointblank and reloaded quickly.

Now just imagine that many birds but being hung over.

If they made the multiplayer more open like in Red Dead Redemption, that would be epic. You know, assuming more people would play. But it could be like a big game of Risk... like an MMO only without the RPGness. Makes me wish I was a designer, sometimes.

Yeah, no one would stay in formation. You'd just have 20 Rambos running around trying to bayonet each other. It would be funny as hell to watch, though.

Soooo... Backreading has taught me interesting things.

1. Happy Birthday, Dreadnot!

2. A number of people here have birthdays (not sure of year, just day) within a few days of my own. (Irohuro, Valmur, Catnipthief)

3. A lot of you people are a lot closer to my age than I expected. (Why did it never occur to me, considering the age of FFXI?)

4. Semi-related to #3. Kailana is one of those "forever young"-looking people like me. (Seriously would have thought early-20's from the avatars I've seen.) Don't know about the rest of you, haven't stalked Post Your Pics very far back to know if anything is there.

5. I must be weird for not being afraid of spiders. Now, slugs... I saw one on my back porch tonight and my cringing made it look like I was doing a little dance as I walked.

6. I'm obviously still a fan of throwing parenthesis into a conversation whenever possible. (They're perfect for making comments that are off-topic from your primary point!)

Can't really find an awesome picture to commemorate my first 100 posts. But, I do need to get to bed, so I suppose there's this...

Lol you should see the outside of my house tonight.. It's been raining a lot so I think has to do with it.. There's at least 20 or 30 baby to medium sized slugs crawling all over the house.
