Yeah, mine actually broke through a little while ago. It's kinda neat, having another tooth.

Ok, just curious, but how old are you two? My wisdom teeth started coming in when I was around 13, and they've been out since then too. lol

I'm *coughcough27coughcough*. I had a chance to get my one wisdom tooth removed when I was 18 (just before my health/dental insurance ran out), but when they draped that extra long paper bib on me, I freaked and ran out. I haven't had the chance to, since.

Mine are gone and I'm glad they are.. I had my tops taken out when I was 16, and bottoms at 18-20 (can't remember exactly).. I never wanted to deal with them, I had to go into surgery to have my teeth taken out because of how I can't have work done when I'm awake (I have to be 100% sedated, day surgery) the first time they asked me if I wanted to go ahead and have them taken out too, and I said yes, the second time, I actually made sure they were going to remove those too..

I had to have mine removed, two of them weren't even fully broke through the skin yet, but they still cut my gum open and took them out. They didn't gas me, I made them put me to sleep since I was getting them cut out instead of pulled. I wasn't going to have enough room in my mouth for mine, which is why I had to have them removed.

Wasn't all that painful with the codeine they gave me afterwards, and as I was waking up they gave me a shot of morphine for the immediate pain of just having it done. Before I went in they also gave me valium for my anxiety, which was awesome.

Be glad you have some molars, I'm about to lose my 2nd :<!

Curse yee bad teeth! No matter what I did to prevent it too;;

I keep telling myself "Maybe not having a molar won't make my wisdom teeth hurt as bad when they come in..." ...I hope.

I wanted surgery on it, but my mom refused. I think it was cheaper not to or something. I'm sure if they knocked me out, I would've been cool with it. But I just envisioned them hacking my gum open, ripping my tooth out and having this big bloody gap that would just spew everywhere. That and Novocaine doesn't really work on me. Either that, or they just never put it in the right places. When I got my cavities done, it would feel like they were shocking the hell out of my teeth. I came to find later that it was the result of extreme pain.

Now, would I get it removed now, even if I didn't have surgery? Yeah. Sometimes it's a pain in my ***, plus I'm afraid it's gonna wreak havoc on my lower row of teeth and make them all crooked and stuff. But, until I can afford it, that's just not in the cards.

I never knew they could be that late coming in, especially as late as Mag. That's actually kind of interesting; I wonder what causes some people to get them at around 13/14 and others to not have them till their 20s. Intriguing. . .

Edit~ Noooooooooooooo, I forgot to change the account!

If you get dentures you wont have to worry about chewing on your tongue like its jerky at night.

It doesn't really spew blood.. But for a month or so you'll have this gaping hole in your jaw that food just loves to get stuck in.. Then you'll sit there 'licking at it' to get it out and figure out that doesn't work and start sticking objects in there to pry it out, like a tooth pick or a ball point pen or anything you have at hand.

Where were you with this information 9 years ago? All I had heard were horror stories about people bleeding constantly and being in bed for weeks while their stitches kept popping out.

Is there any way to undo what has been done? It was kind of a dumb goal of mine to just stop there on that account ever since I started posting.

My stitches actually started dissolving after about a week and a half, and I did have a slight bit of trouble with bleeding but nothing serious. Holding a tea bag in my mouth on the spots actually caused the blood to finally clot and stop for good.

As for the food getting stuck in the sockets, my sockets weren't super deep but they gave me a little syringe with a tip on it to squirt water into the socket to flush them out.

Somewhere in the recesses of the options. Seek and ye shall find. I'd tell you exactly, but I mean... the link is waaaaaay over there on the other side of the page.

Edit: And now that we talked about teeth, my upper row is getting phantom pains. Damn anxiety.

Now I'll never get back to sleep at a decent time, and I wanted to get up at like 10ish.

(wanted to get to school early to get things done, have class at 7pm etc).

now my day is probably ruined, fack.

you're not actually supposed to get wisdom teeth until between the ages of 18-25, 13/14 is extremely early for them.

also, does anyone see anything in this image?
