Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?

Hmmmm, what cut of beef would be ideal for shish kabobs?
I could use something simple like chuck round cuts, but under the grill it might get a bit tough after the veggies get roasted.
Was also gonna mix it up by having chicken, shirmp and bacon too, so I get a bit of everything. Of course everything will be wrapped in bacon for extra deliciousness. And to add some color, the veggies will consist of red and green peppers with onions and zucchini.

Alrighty. Also I wanted to add mushrooms but they tend to be pretty plain and nondescript when roasted over a grill, so perhaps I can marinate them in a soy sauce and lime juice mixture.

I didn't do much to the mushrooms last time I made kabobs and I loved them, I don't even really like mushrooms, for whatever reason I decided to throw them on that time, they were just button mushrooms. IIRC all they got was olive oil, some salt and pepper. They developed a really deep flavor and ended up tasting a lot like meat.

Hmm, perhaps I undercooked mine before which is why they tasted bleh.
Depending on the type of mushroom and how long they're cooked, they can really develop a great chewy texture with a robust flavor almost akin to meat as you've noted. For that reason I have to take portabellas in small doses. They tend to be very strong and smoky in nature without being cooked at all.

I halved the mushrooms since as I mentioned I'm not usually a fan of them, and the meat was pretty thick cut, so that might be why mine had time to actually cook.

Watching chopped currently and one of the girls was all "women are underestimated in the kitchen" which appears true but at the same time you have this gender role that a womans job is to cook meals... This baffles my mind a little. How can it be a manly job to be a chef but women are traditionally expected to cook >.<

I saw that last night and the first thing that went through my head was meme pics of get back to the kitchen/shouldn't you be in the kitchen.
Also I think it has to do with women are expected to cook for their family, not in high end restaurants, since getting paid/making money was traditionally the man's job..

It's always bothered me that it is "cooks" that do all the hard work and actual cooking, while chefs merely "create" the dishes they have others do, all while blowing steam and stroking their ego thus spawning a horrific superiority complex more often than not.

At first I was like "awesome!" but then I realised, they're giving the version mascots to the version you already get them in. :|
Also really want to find a translated scan of Gunpla Builders Beginning D now for some reason...

I make delicious hot tea in winter and huge pitchers of fabulous cold tea in summer. It's just barely warm enough that I can start chugging the cold stuff. So I've had it ready to drink since this morning and the pitcher is already half gone. xD

So.. just out of curiosity, what did I break when I /sea the area I am in and the box takes forever to come up and then it just says "Search failed" ? It's happened a few times, I'm paranoid whenever I camp NMs for magians so I have to spam /sea the area, see. I thought at first my connection was just going slow, but I haven't lagged or come close to dc'ing or anything.
Weird. ^^ But kinda funny. Everyone here is now a ninja by default because I can't see them in the area. :D

D: AH too? That's no good, I've been camping the AH for a scroll of Army's Paean V because my laughably horrible bard isn't complete without it. ;;

search function has been failing since yesterday or the day before lol! Should have seen the chaos that was going on when people were trying to invite me for a VWNM run. Kept telling me to drop my party, yet I was seeking. This went on for awhile, was getting tells from multiple people about it. Then it turned into "now it shows you're not online!" and finally had to go near the people so they could invite me manually. A few minutes later it was showing that no one was on the server at all. :3 So yeah, definitely nothing you broke Liela!

I was playing Mass Effect3 all day, but logged just to AFK in jeuno.
I kinda noticed some SH's where talking about search and AH, but didnt pay attention, until I viewed on the LS' roster and was "cant display"
so I said myself "oh his again"
and logged out, kept playing ME3

Trying to decide which system to get ME3 on now. My saves from my PC play through all got corrupted so I don't have those which pretty much opens me up to all the consoles.
