Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?

going from hot to cold weather does not cause illness. germs cause illness lol sisters bf is superstitious too -_- hes living in a house full of people who are not superstitious all he gets are the areyoufuckingkiddingme.jpg faces lol Is it about the kid? My wife is the same way, and so is her mother.. He can't take a bath when it's cold without a heater on and we can't leave the A/C on because 'he'll get sick'..
I give them both that look, in my head at least..
YES WOMAN I SAID IT! HE'S NOT GOING TO GET SICK BECAUSE HE GOES FROM A WARM BATH TO COLD ROOM.
And there's that goddamned page thing again where the one thing I don't want paged, ends up being paged.

I think it originated because people believe that rapidly going between hot and cold lowers your imune system, thus not exactly making you sick, but making it easier to get sick.

So I will respond as if it were (if it isn't, disregard and clarify) I'm not the type of person to get kicked out of my bed.. I'm an *** and this I freely admit.. If she ever tried to 'kick me out of the bed' I'd still get in it, if she had the problem of sleeping in the bed with me after a dispute/disagreement/argument, then she can go find somewhere else <_< She's welcome to sleep it in with me, I wouldn't kick her out of it, but I'm not going anywhere. If she were to ever tell me 'you're sleeping on the floor/couch, I would drag the mattress down to the floor or drape it over the couch.. Yes I am an ***, but I'm also a smart ***, she never said ***about the mattress.

It actually started because people believed that you were susceptible to getting sick in the cold, but that's not the case, the reason why getting sick is more common during the cold months, is because people spend so much more time cooped up in buildings, your chances for getting sick rise, because you're in closer proximity and thus the chances to catch something someone else has is higher..
Actually, cold causing sickness is *** backwards.. There's a reason hospitals are kept so damned cold..

Oh I agree, just voicing the other side! I dont know how many times I had to laugh at my mom for complaining when I would rush out of the house after a shower w/ my hair still damp.

The temperature changes don't cause sickness themselves like you said. However, your immune system is what helps your body adapt to these temperature changes and since your IS is constantly fighting off bacteria, germs, etc., drastic changes in temperature causes more stress on your IS to do it's job. Thus, leaving "holes" or weaknesses in your IS that could cause you to get sick.
So yes, the temperature changes themselves don't cause you to get sick, but it can contribute to getting sick if your IS can't keep up with all the adaptations it's having to go through.

I used to be highly superstitious and when I first heard that, it drove me *** insane.. Every time I went somewhere there would be a penny and I'd just have to pick it up and find out what 'luck' I had..
Luckily that ended by the time I was 10 or 11..

Seems like his heart is in the right place at least.. Not enough guys out there ready to be a parent to their kid.. Better to be like 'him' than the guy who gets dragged on Maury saying all the way he's not the father..

Am I the only person who, when in a place that the floor is fairly large tiles, like the 12x12 tiles you see in schools a lot; you make a point to step exactly on the center of the tile, like not letting any part of your foot touch the lines. (Unless your foot is too big, but even then I've done it on fairly large tiles too)

I still find myself avoiding cracks in the sidewalk on occasion. O.o I still step on them.. I don't even consciously do it anymore but when I first heard that, I did it on purpose.. I hated my mom for abandoning me and every time she'd come get me (on the weekend, like once or twice a month) she'd end up getting so drunk she couldn't talk and talking about how bad of a kid I am and blah blah blah blah blah..
I still hate it, but it's at this point a love hate relationship.. If she died tomorrow, I would definitely care, but at the same time, I don't care enough to try to mend our relationship. It's just unsalvagable.. We are on completely different wavelengths..

I've done that too! It's all for meager entertainment while walking than superstition like you said. It's the small things, yo.

I've only been up seven hours, so I'm good all night.
