So the meteor shower last night was a slight disappointment. Nothing super flashy or exciting, but I did get to see a good handful of shooting stars within a 3-4 hour time frame. Cept it was cold as balls and I couldn't stick around much longer. However, I think the main thing was the passive bliss of being out in the middle of nowhere in total darkness aside from the moonlight and twinkle of the cosmos themselves. Something about the darkness, stars and silence brings about a nice feeling of serenity.
I think when I get a car I'll get a pickup truck so I can have an inflatable mattress in the bed and just go stargazing time to time.
I miss being out in the middle of no where, where there was no light pollution and just staring at the stars.
