Didn't they have on their scripts or storyboards parts where it was simply sectioned off as [technological mumbo jumbo] or something? I think I saw that in a documentary at some point.
Finally get around to uninstalling some of the bloatware, and what do you know, Norton pops up saying the computer already has a virus (it's not even connected to the net yet). So I figure I'll humor it and see what the "virus" is. Low-and-behold Norton is saying one of it's own files is a virus.
easier said than done, relays are offline and we're losing shields, unknown source
(dont worry Im stopping omg we some nerds lol)
:( I can't think of what they'd use to scan with to figure that out.. All that keeps popping in my head is polaron scan, and that's borg.
Isn't that the moment where the plot usually cuts in, and they are lead to know what the source is by the script writer?
No that's where they'd use some ingenious method to get an idea of what's going on, if they can't find the source but think it's a ship for instance, they'd use some type of weapon/technology in a way that it wasn't designed to do to shine light on the situation so to speak..
Not always. I can't name episodes, but there are plenty where the plot interjects, and then they figure out the stuff later on.
The only bad part about it is the series is over and we're not going to get anymore episodes.
I feel the same way about Stargate SG-1. I didn't want it to end. Sure there is Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe but it's not the same. ;.;
If I could pick any show to be 'picked up again' and added to, it would be Firefly, so I could actually watch the damn thing.. I love Serenity, but I still haven't watched Firefly because I know it just ends and I'm not going to torture myself that way (I've watched Serenity probably 100 times now, the characters just had perfect chemistry and the plot was excellent) but Voyager would be a close second..
It's not like it would be all that hard to do anyway, Voyager has tampered with the timeline so much it's *** ridiculous..
Oh... this type of nerd stuff I can hardly get into. :(
Stop being so picky, nerd is nerd. Embrace all aspects, you can't just like robots and games and call yourself a nerd. IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY!
I've never been into the sci-fi stuff. :P Transformers is as close as I get. I'm okay with watching it with friends or something, but watching it on my own? Doubtful. :x
Yeah, at the heart of the whole nerd thing is the fact that because we enjoy certain things, a certain society shuns us. So, in a way we embrace each other for being shunned. So to shun someone for not doing certain aspects and enjoying others is pretty hypocritical.
That being said, I know you meant that in jest, so... NERD ALL THE THINGS!!
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
