Does FFVI's story pick up after these three beginning scenarios? Not gonna lie, right now it's not really appealing to me. I'm gonna finish it regardless, just waiting for the story to really pick up.
Honestly, I've heard people tout about how great 6 is (I was brought into the series with 7), but to me it just didn't touch the others. The gameplay is
The same as every other Final Fantasy until 11, the graphics...
are better and more detailed than any other SNES RPG's, not too mention glorious works of art. The sprites
are sprites, and to give the monsters each their own individual animation would be far too much memory for a SNES cartridge.
As to the story,
it was dope as ***for 1994, especially when compared to previous FF titles. FF7 takes directly from it, idea/concept wise, as does its main antagonist(They even reuse the idea of multiple forms, starting with a giant form, see fight with track, "Birth of a God" playing). That being said, consider yourself hated upon, muchacho!
I mean seriously? Seriously? You're going to hate on FF6, and before hand you're going to admit that you weren't familiar with FF till FF7? /facepalm. I may be overreacting, but that's essentially like going through an artist's gallery of paintings, and then commenting that his early works were pieces of ***, because they aren't as well known as the one that brought him into the public's eye(i.e. The only good art is the art the public thinks is good).
VI was Square's masterpiece. It signified that they could make a beautiful piece of art, a beautiful game, and so they reused a ton of the concepts and things they learned from it to generate all the FFs that people generally flock to. It's amazing, and nothing short there of.
I'm going to stop there, or this is going to turn into a long, hot rant. D:
Also, no Haseyo, it's not the same thing that FF13 did. FF13 reused the concept from 6. An ancestor cannot reuse a descendant. Plus, FF6 doesn't do it nearly as much, nor for as long as FF13. The story should pick up after you unite the 3 paths. Though I don't know. You seem to be demanding some sort of modern nepotism. You're playing a game from the early 90s, it's not going to have all the bells and whistles, mainly because it built most of the foundation for those bells and whistles to be laid. Enjoy it and stop complaining, or don't play it. Don't do things that won't make you happy. No point in it.
