I never get the hate, either. So what if he just substitutes great story with huge explosions.. I don't think his stuff is exactly oscar-worthy, but his movies aren't terrible.

About Bay I just don't like the direction itself. The way the scenes are taken, the cameras, the lighting. Nothing wrong if you like it, but I really don't.

actually, I take it back, I liked Bad Boyz and Pearl Harbor.
my dislike for him, is mainly because of Transformers 2, I am No. 4 , and Armageddon :/ (each movie for different reasons) Why don't people ever talk things out? I've been taught that eviscerating the problems you have with someone can help solving them. And I always thought it wasn't such a bad idea. I mean what kind of harm could ever come from trying to understand each other better?
I felt obligated to post this:
I often make the mistake thinking that movies have to have a meaningful story, or... I dunno... Some profound message. Sometimes I just want to see ***explode. Having said that, I still think people that enjoy comedies like Epic Movie and Disaster Movie (Wayans Brother movies, I think) or whatever are dumb.
