I'm not entirely sure what crispy bacon means...it sounds like...crunchy? And ew crunchy bacon?

It's like... if you're cooking it, you can either leave it on for ages (crispy) where the fatty bit begins to look almost burnt, or if you take it off MUCH sooner to where the fatty bit is still very much in evidence, you get chewy!

I just noticed that I open up more easily(to some degree)when I talk in English than in Italian. I wonder why. Could it be that a different language is perceived at subconscious level as a form of detachment?

Then I'm afraid to say that you are not a true bacon connoisseur!! I have spent many days perfecting my bacon crafting art, such that my bacon is unparalleled across the land.

I've never really thought about it like that but it's certainly interesting. It would depend on whether you identify yourself as Italian explicitly (which I'm guessing you would)... but then if you were taught English from a young age (I dunno how things work over there) then one would expect it would become very much part of your social consciousness?

Another possibility is simply that the people you speak to in English you feel more comfortable opening up with (in real life vs anonymous(ish) internet forums for one thing... and free from worrying about things like perceptions based on your physical appearance etc).

I am out of my league however since the only thing I know how to do in other languages is use a single (not very successful) pickup line on women, and remark about how it's snowing in Russian.

The best thing you could do with bacon is used it to wrap shrimp, sharp cheddar, and a slice of jalapeño then throw it on the grill. Delicious!!!

My mom cooks, and when I'm alone I usually plan on skipping lunch.

Actually sometimes I even think in English. It's weird, but it certainly it's rooted in me quite a lot.
It's true that it depends on the person I'm talking to, obviously. But the point is that I actually let the door more open when talking in English...I think...it feels...Idk.

I want a servant that greets me out of the shower with a warm towel and then proceeds to hug me with it saying "did you enjoy your shower, master?"
