I need to get back into working out again. Every time I've tried though, over the past 5 or so years, I wind up doing what I think is moderate progression...
And then I get hurt in some way.
Late 2019 I pulled something in my left thigh, and couldn't do power walking anymore.
Late 2020 my Guyon Canal had sudden knife stab like pain half way through my 4th set of 20 push ups. Couldn't do anything related to that hand for months without intense pain. Sometimes it still flares up if I do much with it.
2022 I started into home workouts again, Guyon Canal pain and pain in my upper back had me tap out.
2023/2024 I started taking 20 pound dumbbells to work just to curl/rows/lunges in downtime. No issue there, but wasn't a truly consistent workout, but felt like the only time I could fit it in between job, future(now current) wife, and other responsibilities.
Haven't tried this year, but options are limited at the moment. Plus I had that random *** shoulder problem last December. That was an exceptionally painful week. Intense shoulder pain out of nowhere during a Christmas get together, and then loss of motion the next day. Three days in a sling with loads of ice and pain meds and a trip to the doc that amounted to, "I can't do ***, see an Ortho if you don't get range of motion back in a couple of days." And I got range of motion back and the pain did go away.
But every now and then, especially when barometric pressure drops, I get stabby needles in my right shoulder.
I wasn't expecting this kinda ***until my 40s.
