I spent ~33 years in a frozen swamp and ice fog winters (it's where the air temp is so low you have ice as fog just hanging in the air) below -45 C/F lasting 6 months so I have the same dry skin problem as a desert person sadly, very lizard-esque

as a 17 year old who has been playing for 3-4 years. i can proudly say that at least one exists.

Considering the Nintendo exclusive games, it is less likely it would be a bad purchase imo.
I would buy it but not on first day.

May be a good day one purchase if you want to play Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? I heard that game has severe performance issues on NS1. There is a chance that NS2 hardware could solve the issue.

I am a firm no on a Switch 2. My Switch has been collecting dust in the closet since I finished TOTK. I feel like they just abandoned the console. Where is Mario Odyssey 2? Why isn't Mario Kart coming to Switch 1? Why did we get 3 bad Mario Party games? I've always liked Nintendo, but with the economy the way it is, there is no reason to support them for nostalgia's sake. Unless you just love Mario Kart, I would wait a few years.

Switch 2 will become worth it to me once it has new Fire Emblem & Xenoblade entries. Until then, snooze. Third party stuff gets bought for much cheaper on PC.

Switch 2 is weird. I looked at the game list and was like... I can play 90% of this on my 4060 laptop and with Nintendos new ultra anti priarcy measures I cannot fathom owning a nintedo systems I can't morally pirate from (Remembers its always ok to pirate Nintendo games)

I think Nintendo mentioned that games wouldn't run better but load times and stutters could potentially go away. frame rate hardcaps will still exist, and it will always lock to the native display it was designed for unless it was addressed in a patch

I don't mind paying full price for a game I enjoy, I'll even give Nintendo a pass on charging for their *** hardware. My biggest issue with them is that the only legal way to play these games is on their crappy underpowered handhelds.
If they need the hardware subsidy, let me pay $500 for a 'switch on pc' license and USB card reader so I can play with reasonable load times and no stutter. It's beyond stupid how much emulators outperform the real Switch because they decided they didn't need to do an actual console.

Mario Kart World seems ok. Mario Kart as a whole series was a lot better when you play with your friends locally. Who has time for that? New MKW would probably let you play with randoms online.

Yeah Switch 2 is also a no from me, for the time being. Maybe once it has a good game or a favorite series drop on it, and the game also looks appealing, then I'll think about it. But said game will also need to have an actual physical release too.
Wish it was as simple as a new Fire Emblem coming out, but Fire Emblem has become hit and miss for me. Character designs for the most recent one were so dog ***that I didn't even bother buying it. Not even for the nostalgia bait of using the older FE characters (the better FE characters) as power up fusions did anything for me.
Tellius, Tellius, and more Tellius replays are in my future on my Wii from 2007. (occasionally emulated on my desktop)

Really was Disney's fault as the combo system wasn't the problem - it was Capcom bending over listening to and dealing with that blob of a company. Forcing steamers to lie too... yuck
Another thing I hate about this is Disney just always f'en wins... people forget and just "Slurp, Slurp" Forgetting the BS they put the fandom through

just mindblown with how convoluted and difficult it is to get marvel rights that it ended up in ASW's lap Arcsys has a history of turning loved IPs (some big) into beautiful fighting games (DBFZ, Granblue, DNF), so I wasn't that surprised when I saw a Marvel iteration. It's likely that they got appraoched by Marvel or Sony "here make a cool game for our IP".
All are ironically better than that trash GG Strive
