EXP'd with my brother last night on SAM. He was on RDM and SCH.

We did Locus Imps in Caedarva Mire.

We absolutely annihilated them. Made 142 JP per hour. Went for one fill up of 500 JP, so I'm up to 846 JP on SAM now.

Tachi: Jinpu is kinda cracked... Actually all of the Great Katana weaponskills are cracked nowadays.

Very fun. Would recommend!

Also saw Celebrindal out there. I wish he'd come give us more Ship and Boat and ocean stories!

Damn neighbor started to smoke weed like... every day every time.

This disgusting smell is starting to bother me a lot.

Every time I see someone smoking weed I feel like sticking the cigar in his/her *** and see if he/she will still smoke by his/her back mouth...

The best part is when you tell them about it, and they deny it.

If you smoke it for a while you end up not being able to smell the odor anymore, but for everyone else it's strong as ***.

Despise that smell, and they smoke it all the time here.

Sales and population figures say you are wrong in your opnion of XIV.

But something made you feel this way, want to talk about it?

Too many women play it.

When women make up a smaller percentage (as is the case with almost every other mmorpg, including XI) they fit in with the male dominated community and everyone loves them, when they make up a larger percentage it goes to crap and it turns into a no fun allowed zone, when they start asserting their demands on the community and developers. At least from the point of view of most men who are there to play the game.

Men and women create different kinds of communities when they become dominant, and around 30-35% range of women will do that in their favor. Which is where XIV is at.

Also online games with a lot of women attract a specific type of male simpy player too.

I don't give a crap, it's true and you know it.

You guys experiece some sort of community when you play 14? The one and only time I ever experienced anything that was player related in 14 was in Eureka. That content forced people to work together and it was really good.
*edit*: Maybe oldschool Hunts as well, when it was all organized with Teamspeak and Discord.

Outside of that, 14 is a single player game for me. I have absolutely no interest in the expert level simon-says that is FFXIV "endgame".

The entire gaming community has this discrimination chain that isn't just about genders. During mmo golden era in 2000s plenty of old school single player gamers called mmo crap. During mobile game era plenty of PC/console gamers call mobile games crap and complained about mobile games took all the market. Same can be said for older gamers call Fortnite/Roblox crap. Only because the gaming market preference is no longer the same as before.

But the industry will move on and go for the market preference.

Men and women have fundamentally different psychology due to inherent differences between the sexes, when women make up the majority they create communities that are not fun or enjoyable for men to be in (unless the activity is of a different kind). Feminists have hammered into men they are not allowed to think like this, even though women know it's true and create female only environments.

When it's a small number of women in a male dominated environment it's fine because they integrate into that community, but when the women make up a larger % it's not. This also applies to work, as well as hobbies. No fun allowed police are in service.

This current turn of discussion brings several things to mind.

This board is incel adjacent.

Most here have no idea what women are like or what they like.

Most here think all women are feminists and liberal.

Most here really need to get laid and have no idea how to go about it.

Men evolved to work together and hunt, women evolved to create safe communities with other women.

Men like to banter, swear and act like men. They are also fixated with competing with each other, and demanding high standards from each other (which leads to exclusion if they do not meet these high standards), as such they create competitive environments and have fun in these kinds of communities that women find toxic (only when women make up a large %, if they are minority they fit in with the community).

This is natural for men, we are wired to be this way and we enjoy it. How we evolved has more to do with how we act than the social constructs we have fabricated in modern society. We are animals, we have inherent desires and preferences and these differ based on gender and many other things.

Women are fixated with safety, non-competitive environments and inclusiveness. This is reassuring and enjoyable for them, because they evolved to be this way and this comes out when they are more dominant position in a community.

Many of the problems with modern society and gaming are caused by forcing women into competitive male dominated environments they do not feel happy in, and so forcing men to feminize themselves and not be allowed to act normally as a bunch of men.

Not only is this bad for men, because men are always expected to pander to women 100% of the time but it's also bad for our society because competitiveness is why we are strong as nations and this is a large part in why we are utterly failing now.

This isn't about hating women, this is about factual differences between the sexes that our modern society pretends don't exist.

Competition isn't toxic, competition is DOPAMINE RUSH.

FF11 is an inherently masculine game, it is lightly censored (no muh feefee energy here), it's extremely competitive and has sky high limits for players to achieve, leading to massive differences between players, exclusion is normal for people who do not meet the high standards expected, all achievements take monumental amounts of effort.

Exclusion, freedom and high competitiveness.


FF14 is inherently a feminine game, it is heavily censored to a ridiculous level, it's barely competitive at all and gear is easy to cap so everyone is a winner with minimal effort, there is almost no exclusion (and you can be banned for trying to exclude people) and everything in the game takes minimal effort to obtain.

Inclusion, safety and low competitiveness.

That's a good breakdown of FFXI vs FFXIV, but labeling stuff as masculine and feminine is so insanely stupid. Stop applying gender to everything.

Everyone has to break everything down to race and gender and I for one am beyond tired of it.
