Why do these ppl think we solo every content with trusts still? I think we now have our own version of boomers that climbed up the hills in snow to get to school

Classic level 75 cap people who quit in late ToAU/early WoTG, and don't want to admit that the game continued without them just fine.

FFXI was so amazing when it took you thirty minutes to get from town to Aery to stand around for 30-200 minutes.

The greatest irony about is they complain that it became a shadow of an MMO because of trusts etc.

My brother in Altana, it developed trusts because so many people left. People like you! You are the reason it is this way!

And you just know he's a dude that probably deuced out the second they raised the level cap to 80. I understand but will never fully understand why that level cap raise made people quit.

Like, I get it, Abyssea came out with new gear that was a lot easier to get and sidegrade/better than a lot of stuff people spent years and beers and fears on to get. I get it. But everybody who had the old gear still had a leg up and an even easier time getting decked out in the new stuff. Like, ***, the cap raise came with new WSes at 80, which was only like 2.5 years after Mythic WS came out, and then that same year we got Empyrean WS too... and then not even a full 2 years after that, merited WS! It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but there was so much new stuff gameplay wise I personally found the time to be FFXI converted into FFXI: Crack Cocaine edition.

Solid ROI on all my playing hours? Ultimate weapons that aren't locked behind gil(well until Voidwatch and Heavy Metal but that was a little later)? I can do solid lowman or big group for it, too? Sign me the *** up!

I was just confused for a second when this instructor said: "Do you know when to use UX research? well, use it before, during and after the design phase".

Then me: "well, so did you mean use it all the time?" I dont see a point of being specific with the design phase when everything is somewhere before during or after some point in time.

I can understand the value of simplifying things in communication, unfortunately for some people such as myself, simplifying things in our brain is very difficult. So I can see why other people communicate like that.

If there are certain things that needs to be performed during certain phase, my brain will do a run down on exactly which step it need to be performed, then ended up saying "this step needs to be performed in phase 1, 2 and 3". I wouldn't even realize phase 1, 2 and 3 is all the phase so you can just say "all the time" instead. Unless someone remind me this is the case.

And even if you remind me I can just say "all the time", I will ended up doing another run down in my head to ensure the phase "all the time" really applies under all situations, before I can answer "yes, do this all the time."

So.... it's not necessary that people "act smart" to complicate things in communication. It's just different people brain functions differently, converting different brain thought process to a unified communication style is difficult.

I can see Panta's brain overloading from overthinking people's posts....

Don't blame this site, FFXIAH is innocent.

Might've been for emphasis.
The first thing that came to mind after reading this line was: they were creating emphasis on the importance of constant UX research. Ofc, it depends on the delivery of the line, the nature of the spoken language, and some other subtleties, so you be the judge of that, but it's a very common emphasis technique.

You fixate on this stuff too much, and you probably work out more than you need to. Sugar is fine in moderation, and working out too much is as bad as not working out at all.
He isn't. He is doing his bit to make up for layabouts like me.

Panta, keep up the good work.

Someone need to put a stop in Alfanias political stuffs in New Games thread.

That place is basically Nynjas home.

If its locked/bombed, I fear Nynja will become a beggar in FFXIAH, a homeless.

While I think that is just about fair for someone who kick dogs, I worry he will stop washing after having his house locked, and start to stink (more) in the site…

The funniest thing about that comic is actually Eve knowing what dollars are long before dollars would ever exist.

Of course, the initial funny hook is that economics = evil. :D

The same thing happened with classic wow, the same kind of comments but the sad part these guys actually never played the 75 era just a fraction of it

and its also hard for them to Play jobs with more than 10 actions now no need to macro alot of stuff

Good morning you, political mfers.

Remember that you are not allowed to post political junk in three specific momento: before 7am, during 7am and after 7am.

But you can post that junk any time not included in the condition above.

Have a good day.

Oh Vyre-kun, I must confess a sin. I have influenced by the dark force. My desire to learn economics was driven by my inherent nature of greed and desire for manipulation.

While I don't expect forgiveness, I hope someday humanity can benefit from this. Economics, the necessary evil of humanity.

Todays news:

Japanese was considered innocent after 40 of being convicted to death sentence.

He received $1.4M for the time he was in jail.

Do you think $1.4M is enough to repair 40 years of being wrongly arrested?

35k a year + housing + meals + medical treatment is well over average tokyo income

their legal system doesn't have punitive damages and limits compensatory to a soulless calculation, iirc.. so even if it seems silly by western standards it seems in line with their legal system

better question:
is it more or less just than an elevator repairman operator at tesla getting $137 million for being treated in a racist manner on the job?

For instance someone murdering a woman, his DNA being found at the crime scene but some paperwork for the DNA sample not properly being sought from a judge and the entire case falling apart because of it. These days they build cases with more evidence and don't just rely on one strong thing, so that if they can get that thrown out years later they still have 3-4 other pieces of evidence.

We have a laws in the US that causes the require of a warrant for to compel someone to supply a DNA sample, this means that the police have to ACTUALLY do their job and make a case for why the person did in fact do the crime to some level to justify that warrant. You speak of the whole thing as a ridiculous system for the prosecution to be forced to provide a strong case.

I don't think you understand the purpose of overturning a conviction for "someone got upset cause the cops roughed them up a bit during the interrogation" and I am not sure I know how to explain it in a way to get you to that understanding.
