US military industry's benefit isn't the main drive behind all the military need in the world. Even if US's allies pay more money for their own defense, they are still going to buy arms from the US military industry. Other small nations just don't have the technology to build those weapons. Even if every US ally increase their military spending, most of the money will go to the US military industry anyways.

Blaming US military industry for US military spending is missing forest for the tree. They will make money no matter what.

US will offer protection to an ally if this ally can offer something useful for the US and vice versa. If US decide to decrease military spending on other nations, it is just the result of those allies not offering good enough of mutual benefits. That's all there is.

Why are you using total money spent instead of GDP percentage in your argument? US has far more GDP than any of these countries by a large margin. For example In 2023 US had 27 trillion GDP, Saudi had like 1 trillion. Of course US will spend more than everyone else.

If Saudi has 27 times more GDP to match the size of the US, their spending would be 1671 billions using the same percentage.

You have to use the percentage to have a more fair comparison. US military spending is 3.4% of GDP. It's slightly above average but not on the high end.

An example of high military spending for a country not having a war would be Saudi Arabia. They spent 7% of their GDP on military in 2023, Isreal spent 5% which is also pretty high.

You are free make an argument on reasonable military spending for each country. But saying high military spending is the direct result of "military industry bribing" without evidence is silly.

US military industry is already getting way more orders than they can deliver. Isn't F-35 delivery backlog clogged all the way after 2030 or something? Why would they even need to bribe the government for more orders if they can't even produce enough products to meet the demand in the market? Doesn't make sense to me.

Was trying to finish out my spell lists on every job. Was criticizing my brother today for not having Raise II. Then realized I was missing half of the Boost spells on my WHM. Fire, Light, and Dark spirits on SMN. Quite a few Indi and most all of the GEO geomancy spells. Herb Pastoral on BRD. Animus Minuo and Regen V somehow (I really don't know how I missed having Regen 5). Didn't get them all, but filled out nearly everything. Gonna actually farm up a Light and Dark Pact myself. I used to farm Dark Pact all the time for money at the 75 cap. Light spirit pact involves tonberries. Intriguing and an excuse to go spend time in Temple of Uggalepih. I love having an excuse to go to old zones.

Stupid Prelate Key didn't even drop once for me today though. Starting to think the wiki is wrong and slashers in Den of Rancor don't drop it.

Suddenly the software I use to download youtube videos and audios stopped working.

There is a suspicious "Download" option on YT, but only for Youtube Premium...

I actually have been becoming progresively more bothered by YT ads, that are more frequent, and the must watch timer increased.

Maybe its time to subscribe to this service? I mean, YT is probably my second most used site of all time, maybe only behind Google itself. And I generally just subscribe to many other stuffs I barely use any relevant amount of time... from all my logical point of view, there was no think its worth subscribing to Youtube Premium
