Yall also need to do some due diligence instead of believing the first article you read. Turns out the guy making all those claims on 4chan might not be very trustworthy
In reality, XVI was one of the most highly rated games to come out this year among a sea of intense competition and has been cited by SE to have, in fact, met sales expectations. It is the only AAA square enix game released in the last couple years to sell any meaningful amount of copies as well as get a review score over 65.
But yes, XVI is definitely the reason SE is tanking shareholders. Couldn't have anything to do with the dozen and one massive blockbuster failures recently.
I'm really not sure how to feel about the Wheel of Time amazon series. On the one hand, if I wasn't intimately familiar with the source material I think it would be pretty enjoyable. On the other hand, they have totally ***on the source material...
Also, remember when people complained at the original casting choices and were told, "lol, these are all book acurate casting."
Yeah, Aviendha is like 5 feet tall in the series... :P
Edit: I would have hoped that Harriet Mcdougal would have had more creative control to stop how much they've butchered the story honestly. Then again, hollywood
Day 1 in Vilanova was a rain-out. Not so much due to the rain, but lightning- throw a giant 60' tall spike out in the middle of flat ocean in the thunderstorm, and a boat wound that tightly, made up of 95% carbon fiber and fiberglass just explodes when struck ^^
Here's America, the AC40 NYYC will be racing if the next 2 days go on as scheduled, in drydock for the night.
That BLM one? Somehow, i never noticed its a mithra. It doesnt even have a tail
If you really pay attention to the first couple of frames, the character is definitely idling the way only mithra do. And the face is a little darker than a hume or elvaan.
Does it trouble you that Aerith is an escort in the original FF7?
Uh, I’m not sure what you’re referring to.
There's a long standing fan theory that Aeris is a prostitute supposedly due to her being a, "Flower Girl" and that being slang for *** in Japanese. (Referencing how redlight districts with Geisha are called flower towns or whatever)
It doesn't have a lot of merit, considering there's no real subtext for it beyond that, but I guess it's not outside the realm of possibility.
It's just, you know, she literally sells flowers that go into your inventory. She has a place where she literally picks them. The presence of the third bed in her adoptive mom's home is indicative of prior residency rather than being a sex bed.
But people ignore all that and say stuff like, the third bed in Aeris's home is for bringing home her customers. They also say her really being a *** is why she's not uncomfortable with infiltrating Don Corneo's place. THen there's that scene with her guest appearance in FFT where thugs are trying to get her to *** herself out because she owes them money or whatever.
I think it got debunked by some issue of a magazine where they comment on her being a virgin in JP that's not in EN when Hojo tries to breed her with Red XIII.
That BLM one? Somehow, i never noticed its a mithra. It doesnt even have a tail
Also it does have a tail. It's obscured by the color of the ground slightly and the image quality. But it's there. It just rises up with her to be behind her when the wings come out.
I had to have someone tell gaming industry uses “trophies” not as a “gift” to players, but as a subtle way to collect data from players to feed it back in next games.
Like, you have first trophy for clearing tutorial. Sounds like silly rewarding a player for such mundane task, but then industry learn the percentage of players that drop a game right before in the beginning. Thus they can narrow down what a first impression must have to captivate players to at least start the game

The Digital Entertainment segment consists of planning, development, distribution, and operation of digital
entertainment content primarily in the form of games. Digital entertainment content is offered to meet
customer lifestyles across a variety of usage environments such as consumer game consoles (including
handheld game machines), personal computers, and smart devices.
The HD (High-Definition) Game sub-segment’s net sales for the three-month period ended June 30, 2023 rose compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year due to the release of titles including “FINAL
FANTASY XVI” and “FINAL FANTASY PIXEL REMASTER.”
In the MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) Games sub-segment, net sales fell versus the same period of the
previous fiscal year.
In the Games for Smart Devices/PC Browser sub-segment, “DRAGON QUEST CHAMPIONS” was launched
in June, but the sub-segment’s net sales declined compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year
because of weak performances from existing titles.
Net sales and operating income in the Digital Entertainment segment totaled ¥62,375 million (an increase of
16.4% from the same period of the prior fiscal year), and ¥2,745 million (a decrease of 80.6% from the same
period of the prior fiscal year), respectively.
tl;dr: They flat out said FF16 and pixel remaster performed well, (Both hitting 3m+ copies). And MMO(the lack of FF14 expansion this year)+DQ champion have weak performance is the reason behind profit decline.
Apparently online articles like to mention FF16 over and over because that's what generates click. Fans are angry about action battles, bashing FF16 is trendy, so those articles just abuse this emotion for clicks.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
