I'll have Gears as well, lol. But it's my sister's and her favorite thing atm, so I doubt I'll get much play time in. >.>; Not with the AH crowd anyway.
Yeah, laugh tracks are annoying, lol. :3
Edit! Ent, I really don't find that very funny. :x
Ugh...FPSs are the bane of my existence.
Here's your queue to laugh along with laughtrack! It has to be funny if there's a laughtrack, you know? LOL!
Some nitwit girl got drunk out of her mind two years ago and fell out a sorority house window. (This was two weeks after someone else had gotten drunk at a Greek house and fallen out a different window, mind you.) Now her parents and her are suing the University and the sorority because they didn't "provide a safe enough environment" and didn't "do enough to prevent underage drinking." I am going to laugh my scrawny *** right off if the University turns around and charges her for underage drinking and then installs jail bars on all the Greek house windows. xD
EAK! They allowed alcohol on Sorority Row? That was a big no no! We had to go to the back porch to smoke too. No imbibing or smoking in your letters either.
A Freshman fell out of a three story window at a house party at the beginning of my senior year of college. Surprise! He was drunk!
EDIT: Don't they have "housemothers" at the sorority houses there?

I personally do not like Gears of War but that does not make it generic by any means. It revolutionized a LOT in modern games and is probably one of the best Xbox exclusives out there. I'm just not a fan of the third person thing.

In fairness, the cover system was an innovation and very very well implemented. It does have an original gameplay so I don't think generic is a fair analysis :3

What did it revolutionize? i mean i dont play it AT ALL so idk...i dont like 99.9% of xbox games It was the first shooter to really nail a cover mechanic, something that's been used in almost alllll recent third-person shooters nowadays, same system they used in GoW and everything.
It also introduced Horde mode, a co-operative mode that's you and three friends vs waves of enemies. It's been recreated in Treyarch CoD games as Zombies, MW3 as Survival, Halo ODST and Reach as Firefight...
It had an intelligent reloading mechanic where if you had good timing, you could reload faster and get a temporary damage boost to your bullets for a few seconds. Used in a few recent games, none of which are coming to mind atm >.>

It's not allowed, just no one really cares about those rules here. Not ALL of them behave that way, of course, but that's the reputation they've earned for themselves overall. I've met some really decent frat boys and some really nice sorority girls, but in general... the Greeks on this campus are here to party, not to learn.
Anyways. Last year or the year before alone we had 3-4 students get drunk at Greek parties and fall out of windows, there was an investigation last year or the year before because some girl went to a frat party and got drunk and claimed some of the frat boys raped her, in my Comm class the only frat boy in the class gave colored condoms out to all the girls in the class (stood up to give his speech and handed them out in the middle of class in front of god and everybody), and they drink and smoke in their letters all the time. There's an annual 'Anything goes but clothes' Greek party in which anyone who attends can't wear clothing. You can wear something else to cover yourself, but not clothes. It's popular for girls to go wrapped up in Twister game mats. >.> Charming.
But they do good things too! Two frat boys were sitting on the roof of their house a couple years ago and saw a man run by acting suspicious. They chased him down and stopped him, turns out he was a thief that had just robbed someone. There have been some really smart and nice sorority girls in some of my classes, and I have a couple of them on Facebook. Not all bad at all.

/cringe
That's one way to have Nationals come in lay the banhammer down. I'm surprised they haven't already if the situation is that ban on campus. Have they released the name of the sorority and chapter?
That's hmmm...The most comparable story I have to 'Anything goes but clothes' is Zebra Run, but that was a fraternity. Sororities were not allowed to join in rituals like that EVER!
EDIT: That's complete ***that they're suing the university and the sorority for their child's incompetence! I'm kind of stewing now. Are there articles?
DOUBLE EDIT: Do they have housemothers?

Many games have had cover mechanics (mostly third person games... MGS1 comes to mind back in like 2000).. maybe they did it WELL, but it wasn't revolutionary by what you're describing.. The quick load, i'll give you, though that mechanic sounds kinda lame... dmg boost cuz you can spam a reload button? thats what it sounds like... idk... And the waves of enemies thing... I wouldn't call that revolutionary either >_<. I'm trying to think of a game that has had that in the past... I guess you could say every dynasty warrior game...They have droves and droves of endless enemies until you actually clear your objective. /shrug idk mate

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
